Really? I feel like his biceps make his "stock" shoulder set up look too tiny.

Keep your current shoulder mod setup,
it’s not the issue I don’t believe. Both needed a little filling, slightly.

Wide shoulders give the appearance of smaller biceps. Just about finding a good balance between everything, go too far with the biceps and shoulders and he’s got a pea head.

It appears like they gave him too thick forearms which also makes the bicep appear smaller.

slightly adjust it and his forearms towards the wrists will appear smaller instead, reversing the two.

His forearms aren’t jacked like the figure.

The area around the joint at lower bicep is too hollow, I believe it’s called the brachialis muscle.

I really think it’s fine, it’s just that the metallic striations aren’t super apparent on the figure like the real deal, obviously, which would’ve helped with enhancing the musculature peering through the thin suit material. Idk, I think the shoulder mod is serviceable but all I’m saying is that the stock body isn’t tiny as some make it seem.

My lighting isn’t ideal.

I see what you mean. I think articulation demands may have forced some of IA’s decisions on the elbow and shoulder joint designs. The scale is a bit wonky in certain areas too. But this might be the best we get. I doubt HT will do it better with a 2.0. Their bodies are almost always misshapen.

Man I'd love to see a new Routh Supes from HT someday. I can only imagine all the massive improvements they could make to this figure with a better sculpt, outfit and proportions.

Definitely. I sort of thought SooSoo would do him by now at least. Even their attempt would be an improvement of the original MMS figures

Since InArt revealed (an unfinished one at that) their Chris Reeve superman, i think it’d be in their best interest to fill out their portfolio even further with a Routh Superman. Kinda like HT doing the cinematic/legacy Batman, InArt could and should do the cinematic/legacy superman.

I mean, they’re never gonna match the volume of HT, nor should they (Their current sped up rate is doing a number on our wallets), so at the very least continue doing what they’re doing…but digging deeper into the ‘archives’, if you will.

I dunno, I’d like to see every live action version of superman in 1/6 form. I never had any attachment to George reeves superman, I did watch the superboy series, Lois and Clark as well, a bit of smallville and I intend on watching superman and Lois, which apparently is a great show. It’d be great to have them posed next to one another.

Granted China doesn’t know diddly squat of the aforementioned, so chances are literally zero…

Just wishful thinking.

I get the ‘obsession’ or ‘unable to unsee’ it.

It’s like a dead pixel on handheld consoles or tv screens. No one’s gonna notice that little dot…but to me it may as well be the whole screen

But your superman seriously looks good. Give it a few more days to marinate and I’m positive you’ll be satisfied. And I strongly encourage you to leave it now…I fear anymore stretching of the fabric around the neck area will have dire consequences. Then shoulders will be the least of your concerns

I dunno about that. They did have a crack at him with the CW ‘crisis on infinite earths’ and it’s….well, it exists. I do enjoy it for what it represents…but the Routh likeness wasn’t all there. So I don’t have much faith they’ll do any Justice with a SooSootoys Superman Returns era Routh.

However I will agree it’ll be at least an improvement over HT efforts.

At l this point, I’d like to know if InArt were told to make Superman huge.

Personally I like the idea of Superman being taller than other figures. After all he’s Superman, should stand out imo. I think Pattinson is just underscaled.

I personally wouldn’t be opposed to getting HT’s armored Batman 2.0 to display with InArt’s Superman, since IA themselves said they won’t be doing it.

I’m sure HT superman 2.0 will be fine in of itself, but it needs to come with an additional portrait OR a reporter Clark Kent 2 pack for me to have any interest in it.

Jaxon posted that he’s made new capes for this InArt figure that are different than is previous HT capes. He said the stock InArt cape is similar to his older HT capes. I’ve asked if these new capes will be darker than his previous ones but haven’t gotten a reply yet. It’s hard to tell from the photos

Heh they definitely are but as @BrooklynWolf X mentioned, the protos were pretty nice. At the time, they were pretty cool though, and the Superman figure was an improvement over the 1.0 figure. However, I think the singular Clark Kent release was better than the 2 pack version. That said, gotta also remember that those figures are over a decade old at this point. They should look pretty bad/dated compared to today’s standards.
