Freaked Out
It gives a broader look, to me it looks better with a minimum effort, worth it to me.
No, I get it man. Some things just catch our eye. Nothing wrong with trying improve the look of your figure. It gives a broader look, to me look better with a minimum effort, worth it to me.
I absolutely do not and will not ever understand the crotch being blacked out. My eye does not go there. Be it shiny or black, I simply don't get it.If this wasn't a $350+ figure, I wouldn't be as hesitant to modify the shoulders and paint certain chrome pieces of the body black to have a more screen accurate appearance.
Awesome, did you just use double sided tape to stick underneath it like others have?mine came off very easily but some had a lot of trouble getting them off. I guess it depends on how much glue the factory worker used
I used adhesive foam that I had lying around to make them wider. But, yes, I used double sided tape to then stick them back onto the body . I think @rory and @Omega9300 used 3M foam tape and I think @Chopper Face used a reasonably thick double-sided tape.Awesome, did you just use double sided tape to stick underneath it like others have?
I'm the same. He's next to my desk on display and every time I look over at him I think damn that is a good likeness. So glad I got him.Man, the longer I have this figure the more impressed I am by it. I may be on a Superman kick right now, but this is one I have had out of the display and at my desk for quite a bit now.
The fact that HT is unlikely to release a new one any time soon, and InArt most definitely won't, means this is probably the best 1/6 Cavil we're going to get. Like you, I'm well impressed with this figure. It's not perfect, but it's definitely grown on me.Man, the longer I have this figure the more impressed I am by it. I adore it. The sculpt is there for sure. The paint is a peculiar thing. It's definitely too pale. And it takes ninja skills with editing photos for the figure to not show how pale they painted him.
He doesn't look like that in hand, sure he's palish painted but photos wreck it.
The sculpt does not do well in photos without editing it imo.
But I've not seen a single repaint that looks as good and doesn't distort the sculpt a bit. From rosey cheeks/nose (like he's been out in the cold too long) or just plain bad repaints in general.
It's fig of the year for me. It may keep that title throughout 2025...
