Well, didn't most people like us outside of China order through Kit or other famous sellers? Doesn't that basically go as "local sales" for inArt?

I think most people in NA got it through InArt’s site, not through Kit, because InArt had the best price. EU and UK might be a different story due to additional duties, which is where OSK shines.

I think they’re looking at Wukong as their first big test of how their worldwide distribution model works. Dune Atriedes got off to a rough start with the mixed up SKUs so that almost felt like a beta test. They admitted their logistics partner just slapped on the wrong labels for the deluxe and standard editions, causing the mix up.

They’re also working really hard to secure worldwide licenses for all of their products so they can sell directly to customers, but they need to iron out these logistic kinks first.

They mentioned that they’re eating part of the shipping cost to try to keep it in the $35-40 range for international air shipping.

poor sales? estimate over 10000 set or more preordered on first day.INART better dont f it up on the details. since INART always promote “details” .bought 3 set. guess my predicted price is quite close(2500rmb).

Over 10K on the 1st day??

Wow!

Well, like I said 😆, any low western sales will be made up by China lol.

For the NA gamers that don’t collect 1/6, they probably have never heard of InArt. Especially since most of their licenses aren’t global. It’s a good idea to keep the preorder window open until March so product marketing can circulate appropriately.

I preordered day one, love the game. But wasn’t crazy hyped. I like the monk look better lol. After seeing the live stream yesterday it got me really hyped! The colors and detail look great. I’m glad it’s all cloth and plastic, smart move by InArt.

Only disappointing news was from Will’s live stream where they stated Morfigs is where they’d focus on comic and video game figures. Was hoping to see more of that with InArt 1/6. But I get why.

So much effort and detail on the clothes that 99.99% of collectors will never see.
I might be in minority here but (maybe this will change when I have this guy in-hand) but I actually prefer the lesser armored version as seen here and the Collectors Edition. Regret not securing that when I was hovering over the buy button for it. The details are crazy for sure so will definitely considering removing some of the pieces and see how it looks (also I'm only on chapter 4 - stuck on Yellow Loong 😭) so have yet to get some of the more elaborate armour

There's a third party doing Ping Ping and I don't think or don't know if InArt will do that as their first female character from the series given it's unique mold that may not be reused much. It's likely to be Fourth Sister which has enjoyed massive popularity since release. Maybe a small chance for Kang Jinlong to be done too. Most importantly the base body can be used for other female characters with modifications as required.

Just my 2 cents.

They said they're looking to do a female character as well (most likely Ping Ping) and maybe one other variation of Wukong depending on demand. The figure is selling extremely well in China atm with US sales being a bit behind.

The figure on stream is also a manufactured color matched version. Meaning this is pretty close to the final production version. This isn't the one their team of artist worked on. All of the molds are already done. They said shipping might happen even earlier than expected. Small improvements are planned for the figure.

Everyone in the business knows their Wukong is selling like hot cakes in China, after all Monkey King is a beloved cultural figure. InArt themselves seemed to have confirmed it's selling exceedingly well in the mainland as well.

So guys, you don't need to feel bad and pre-order another 3 just because "sales overseas are falling behind" lol, this is on track to become their best selling figure so far.

Is that a 1/12 version!? I might prefer that tbh. But well.... already pre-ordered 1/6 one, can have both 😅
They are doing a 1/12 Morfig line of Wukong figures, but that prototype isn't one of them. They said that was actually a scaled down model of what an upcoming Queens Studio statue will be.

On the livestream, Ivan called it a 1/6 scale statue, but I think he misspoke because he called it 1/3 scale later on, which would match up with the 1/3 Zhu Bajie they just released.
InArt exclusive: Male pattern baldness Wukong!

It’s also been 2 days. I think it’s a bit early to comment sales missing expectations. It has a 2 month pre-order window and we’re currently still in the month right after Christmas.
100%
This is selling the horse to the glue factory before the race is even started.

Its been 2 days and a lot of folks who intend to pre-order are Poor AF right now, myself included, I'm probably not gonna be able to order until the very end of the window.

Looks amazing, but does the head appear a tad overscaled on the Ebongold armor body?:

Maybe it's just the angle or the rooted hair just is more voluminous haha? The head would probably look even better on the Great Sage armor, which makes his body seem bulkier and probably more in scale.

There’s a good reason for Fourth Sister’s popularity. Other than that she’s hot, anyway:

TL;DR, She’s Sun Wukong’s betrothed

That silicone rooted sculpt is almost $500 that's the cost of a whole InArt figure. It's great but I would avoid paying $500 for just a sculpt.

There's also a 3rd party company making the Fourth Sister as well, and it looks pretty good!
