Inart Chainsaw Man 1/6 Line

Forever in our hearts,

Gone but not forgotten.

Bummer but I imagine all the folks complaining about the prototype not looking much better than Threezero contributed to it.

I would have happily went with INART since their overall quality is better, especially in production compared to Threezero.

Another pic from the OSK FB group.

Sorry don’t know who the original owner is, but would’ve given credit otherwise.

Confirmed 2-3 characters for this will go up for PO this year. They went through a lot of approvals and finally got the green light from the licensor. They even lost the license at one point.

I'm guessing we'll see Denji, Power and Aki or Makima.

Cheers I was just writing up the full quote to put in the Inart thread hah, so I'll post here too

"so basically we have two or three chainsaw man anime [figures, he presumably means] ready this year. And uh the license already ran out, and we renew(ed) the license because of the licensing approval process is just such a pain in the A - but ah good news [is] we'll finally get it ready, the bad news [is] the series [is] not...I'm not gonna comment on that one [laughs] but uh, I don't think we're gonna have too many sales from that line because it's been too late' which Will then sorta clarifies, as in it's been so long since the first season aired. Which is true, and sucks. I hope they're aware that the Reze arc movie is out this year and should reignite some fire for the property...

Sucks for them that getting licences is so hard and then the figures take so long that the license would've expired and needs renewing, so the whole time ig you're paying for that license even if you're not producing anything? Or not sure how that works.

I hope 'ready this year' means shipped this year but ig at least means pre-order. Also no one clarified that they're still 1/6 scale, last I heard it sounds like it but we're still not certain? Is it part of the 'MAG' series that the questioner mentions? what do we know about that?

I'm still in for a 1/6 denji, and would take a great Aki too, to go with my 3Z Power which is the only one of theirs still that I've bought...

The pictures posted posted in this thread from the recent Tokyo event seem to be 1/6 scale.
Would be pretty odd to showcase a figure that they have no plans on releasing.
Their recent Monkey King figure seems to be a 'MAG' release (MAG-015). Not sure what the other MAG releases are.

The original Destined One figure that came with the Black Myth Collector Edition is the only other MAG release out right now. The Mag release is supposed to be for manga/ anime/ game characters. I've gotten message replies from Inart's facebook account confirming that Chainsaw Man will be 1/6. While I'm hoping for at least Power to be in the line up, I'm pretty sure the 3 figures they're doing are the previously shown Chainsaw Man, Denji with Pochita, and Makima.
I personally think they probably had to wait for the Threezero license to run out before they could market their version or so they could obtain the global license for worldwide release. Either that, or they want to time the release with the movie this year.

Denji and Chainsaw Man being seperate figures, ie not including both headsculpts for one figure, would really suck. How would they price them, the Black Myth 'great sage armor set' is 700 au bucks on Popcultcha...which would seem crazy for a single Denji, or even single Chainsaw Man. Granted the Black Myth figure is pretty ornate. But even if these are significantly cheaper, buying both - which most people would probably want (or else potentially not bother at all) - is gonna be quite a bit. Maybe they'll sell it as a two pack? It does allow for one to be bloody and one clean, which is cool I guess. And maybe each figure will still have multiple headsculpts of some kind...?

The threezero figure had multi denji face sculpts plus the chainsaw man head, and was available for under 300au bucks (I actually saw it for 200 new shipped recently and probly shoulda just bought it, but I keep waiting for this Inart one.) I had/have criticisms of the threezero and I get that it's lower end than Inart, but yeh I just assumed Inart would cost more but also include both a denji and chainsaw man headsculpt

edit just to say, they do show the chainsaw man with a pretty cool looking base, I guess that'd be something else to make it feel more worth it... I dunno, they're already pessimistic about how much demand there'll be, I just thinking making them seperate figures was a bad idea if that's what they've decided

Yeah, I'm guessing this is likely to be a two pack, so we can do the clean look for Denji and bloody look for Chainsaw Man, judging how on Joker 2019 there are seperate bodies for the hospital and bathroom scenes even though the outfit is essentially the same.

I'm not really sure why they are so lacking in confidence in video game and anime characters versus treading a lot of the same ground Hot Toys and other makers have gone over with movies. I would think that not having to pay for likeness rights would make animated/ game characters less expensive and need less iterations.
