Actually feels surreal seeing him go up for PO, I think it was July 2023 when they showed him and then nothing till last month šŸ„¹

I will be satisfied with just Denji and Makima, part of me hopes though they are considering doing Power but not feeling very likely

Yeah for sure! I was so excited when Inart said they were going to do anime characters as well as movie characters, so it was a big deal to me when CSM was announced even though even right after the announcement and prototype reveal they went completely dark on them for so long. I really am hoping for Power also, and I'd be very happy if we got a Bomb Devil to go with the movie release, but I guess that'll depend on how Denji, CSM, and Makima do.

I know the anime characters are probably going to be pretty few and far between, but I hope that we do get more over time.

Can't justify $280 for what he is. Outfit isn't even complex nor is anything else that's included.

Will probably jump on Chainsaw Man whenever they get around to that.

A jointed articulated body (probably better anyway considering people always complain about tear on their seamless arms), 3 interchangeable faceplates (WITH MOVABLE EYES), 5 Sets of Interchangeable Hands (which works better on jointed bodies considering people also complain about the difficulty in trading hands on a seamless body), a Pochita, some delicious ahh toast, an axe, a dope lil base with the logo on it, a metal support stand and an eyeball adjustment stick. Along with licensing from Mappa. This Denji doesn't even look like a $200 figure.. It honestly looks like it'd cost more if ya ask me. The execution is beautiful. We have mfs asking for Taylor Swift and all this mess and buying lame poorly executed Hot Toys figures for more. This'll be the same as buying a Rocket Toys figure. Stop being spoiled. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Hunt down the 3z before it reaches the same price anyway, if it already hasn't. It's THAT simpleā˜ŗļø Me? I planned on getting 2 anyway if it came with Chainsaw Man parts. So it's a win win for me. Can't wait to see the bloody mess they make for him! And Makima! Ugh. Especially compared to what WB made them price their Phoenix Joker figures. This is an easy grab. This is a great time to be a chainsawman fan and collector!šŸ”„

Iā€™ve also placed a PO with OSK. Yes, the figure is expensive and I agree with many others that itā€™s disappointing that there isnā€™t a ā€˜deluxeā€™ version with interchangeable ā€˜Chainsaw Manā€™ parts like the arms, head, bloody shirt... but is it the best looking Denji head sculpt figure available right now? Absolutely.

I also find it completely baffling that they'll make this yet they stubbornly refuse to make video game figures in 1/6 aside from Wukong.
Yeah, I'm also surprised about that. I can only see the market for game characters growing in the coming years, so even if the licenses are more costly, you'd think it would be a good future investment since Hot Toys is apparently just taking every big movie license they can at this point. Plus, since anime and game characters don't have likeness rights or less specific costume materials, you'd figure they are a good way to make a more "entry grade" priced figure like Denji.

I'm not sure if it was @R_R_X, but somebody explained the hurdles of getting licenses from game companies can be complicated.

I do think anime has better longevity compared to video game entries. You can have anime spanning multiple seasons for years and it stays longer in the minds of consumers where as a game might have a shorter lifespan especially if the gamer moves on to the next new game.

Great point! Also, Inart could do characters from other animated properties, too, like that Nezha movie that's doing gangbusters in China. And animation nostalgia can be as strong as live action nostalgia.

Aside from the criticism about price and accessories the amount of people calling this a waste of time and resources is actually so funny just because its an IP they donā€™t want

That willfox guy even said that this figure looks like **** and its beneath inart, just because he isnā€™t into anime and likes realism I just canā€™t wrap my head around looking at this and thinking wow that looks like ****

I only collect anime figures so this is the only thing I want from Inart and canā€™t wait to have it in hand, then I wonā€™t have to read any more of these comments on Inart posts

Just to wind these people up I really hope the next PO is another Chainsaw Man figure instead of their 24th Batman figure for their collection šŸ™šŸ»

Hahaha. I definitely understand the feeling, and I didn't watch Will Fox's episode yesterday since I thought that might be the case. I met Will at SDCC and he's a really good guy, so it's disappointing to hear he's so dismissive of this figure. I have every Inart release either in my collection or on PO, and I don't think that'll change any time soon, but it does suck to see the "I need Batman #478!!!" crowd be so hateful about ANYTHING that doesn't cater to their wants. I want variety in my collection and want to support artistic diversity in companies, especially for things I like, like CSM and anime in general.

The same people that are fine with the endless Ledger Jokers figures, do endless comparisons between them, then go crazy because the figures aren't 100% accurate to a specific frame of the movie. šŸ¤
