Is anybody making custom glasses for this figure with thinner rims?
Haven’t heard anything yet of any runs being produced, but that would be great if someone does.

Full Metal John might be the best one to do so.

There was so much hair product that’s basically glued the glasses onto the head. Took a lot of wiggling and force to get them off the head. Glad I didn’t break them or scratch the headsculpt in the process, but I was really it’s about it initially

Anyone concerned about messing up the hair shouldn’t be. Like all rooted InArt figures, there’s a TON of product in the hair.

I thought I got it all out last night and was just letting it air dry to lightly work with today. Woke up to find it like this is :lol

The hair still had/has so much product in it that it just dried and hardened in this position. The good thing about doing this is that this also gets the hair product off the face. There were some shiny spots on the forehead and cheeks that thankfully wiped away once it was reactivated by the water

Curious to see the end results. Keep us posted.

Alrighty-just unboxed and yea, not too impressed. Sure, it comes with a lot of stuff-some of which looks really good and some of which do not.

That said, InArt QC strikes again with me:

1st: Removed the back panel on the head and the magnets came right out. Glued them back in properly with actual glue that will hold. Not a huge issue, but getting those tiny magnets in correctly and making sure the polarities were correct for each one in such small amount of space was annoying. Definitely takes some of the "fun" away from an unboxing.

2nd: The fabric backing on the big dio piece looks like the person applying it gave up about half way through with some edges not reaching the outer profile leaving a sticky feeling from whatever adhesive they were using and then some edges are over done due to not lining it all up correctly. Given that this dio is one of the main selling points of the premium aside from the rooted hair headsculpt, this should've been given better care/qc.

Packaging wise, none of the ungloved hands were in their proper place. Not a big deal but given I could tell that right off the bat upon opening makes it more annoying they couldn't package it correctly from the outset.

Head: Aside from the above, thankfully no paint marks/chips on the face from what I can see. Hair styling looks fine but definitely not as good as the proto. Needs some work.

Outfit looks nicely tailored but nothing too extraordinary to me. Nothing to complain about though either.

Woodgrain base topper looks just as bad in hand as it does in the videos. No realism to to it at all. Just molded, semi-gloss plastic.

Best part of this set isn't even the figure itself to me-it's the books, followed by the broom. They're incredibly well done. The other accessories are really nice for the most part as well.

Hedwig doesn't look any better than the StarAce Hedwig I've had previously. Slight exaggeration on my part for sure, but it's not like I'm looking at a real miniature owl, so the InArt Hedwig doesn't look any more impressive to me than the Star Ace one. The eyes in particular look really bad with no realism whatsoever. Paintwork on her is average. Her cage is pretty nicely done, though.

Overall, not too happy nor impressed. Maybe I'll feel better once the glue on the headsculpt magnets dry and I get a chance to see it put altogether. But as of right now, I'm not feeling too confident about keeping this nor continuing with any of my current InArt POs (Cavill Superman, Ron & Hermione, The Batman). Aside from Aragorn, I've had some type of QC issue with every single InArt figure I've had which isn't great odds and doesn't make me enthusiastic about future orders no matter how much I may want to see them in hand or get excited about the protos.
At least you're not lying to yourself about it. (y) I'm sure there are a lot of people who talk themselves into liking something they actually do not.

Horrendous poses and lighting, but just wanted to see the current diversity of IPs together. :love Lots of definitives here.

Never thought I’d have a Harry figure in the collection and it’s a pretty cool feeling. I wish I had more one-offs from other properties.

Great figures! Something struck me though, unrelated but DC, Alien, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel ... all suffering franchises with their more recent entries.:oops:

MIne arrived yesterday from Kit and all looks good so far. I have to agree that there's so much product in the hair it felt sculpted when I removed from the case. It was actually adhered to the foam in the container lid and came off the base knob when I removed the lid! I was a tad freaked at that point but it easily separated from the foam with no hair damaged. It was then that I discovered how much product was in the hair!! All's good though. Gipetto, I will also be watching for updates on your styling adventure.
Cheers!

i recommend soaking the black fabrics in warm water to let the dye out a little to avoid staining the lighter fabrics and body in the long run.

I've hesitated to use Hedwig's arm mount for fear of creasing the cloak. What are your thoughts lordnastrond and others?
I've decided to go with it, it may well crease the cloak, but with it being material at least it won't disintergrate like other materials.
For me it's worth it to display Hedwig outside her cage, but its up to you.
If you are worried about it and have enough room for her on top of the diorama or you don't mind her being in tge cage then go for that.
