I was thinking of getting Tetsu to rehair my sculpt. Asked and the price is like $280 that's definitely a lot to have the hair redone. But it looks way better then how we have it atm.

They do great work but doesn't look like that vast of an improvement here.

Yeah I asked another artist, and he said about $260 which isn't any different but a bit less then Tetsu. Here are two I've found who also redid hair (12inch is the one who said he charges $260)

12 inch's seems a bit closer to Aragorn's hair in the movies

Did you style the hair? If mine would turn out like that right out of the box, I would be more than happy

I just have the feeling that the face of the sculpted version looks different than the rooted. Not only the missing ears...

Quick upload of my sculpted. Wasn't happy with how glossy the hair looked - sprayed a few coats of matt varnish and now much happier.

Have the rooted coming in a few days so will compare and see which one to keep

I just have the feeling that the face of the sculpted version looks different than the rooted. Not only the missing ears...

I wonder how much of it is that the sculpted hair throws shadows on the face, whereas the rooted hair lets the light through? All the reviewers I've seen do a comparison swear up and down that it's the exact same, but I agree there's a lot of variability in pictures.

Wow, the hair on yours seems much more straight toward the top compared to others. Maybe more will look like this in the later batches.
