Honestly, regardless of batch, each and every one of these is different. There's no consistent application/styling of the hair. There's no guarantee of getting a "better" one just by ordering later.
Yeah I just got mine yesterday from Kit, was batch 3 from him. My headsculpt was pretty curly, I had to wet mine down alot to bring down some of the volume.

Not my photo!

But saw it on facebook. The hair actually falls down rather than slightly outwards and the likeness improves dramatically to my eyes.

Quick shot of my Aragorn. You will notice that I do not trust the magnetic base using a spare. Waiting on a new stand. Not my final pose but I wanted to make sure that I had all accessories possible on him in my display!

Yep. At the same time a lot of folks were getting sculpts with fine curls, mine had this kind of coarse mess like the person was afraid I wouldn't have enough hair, and jammed as much fiber on as they could.

Well, it turned out alright for me after a lot of work; and fortunately Aragorn had a lot of looks through the trilogy, but reading the puff piece in the Harry Potter section about choosing fiber for consistency blah blah was just irritating. Even the cut is different sculpt to sculpt - some longer etc. :thwak

As was mentioned earlier, the sculpted version is arguably the more successfully executed figure of the two. I do wish InArt had included both heads with the premium set, and honestly I think for the price tag, they should have.

I'm not sure I'll be buying anything from them in the future purely due to increasing costs. The Walking Dead ones look good so far but the show is no longer relevant. They took a good thing and they drew it out way too long. I Digress.

After receiving Aragorn, it pretty much confirmed I would not pre-order Legolas or other Inart release due to increasing price. Love the proto of Thorin but I feel I cannot do $750 Canadian or more (price of Legolas) on 1/6 figures. Current $400+ on HT is hard enough to swallow!

Premium was originally $480. I paid a $60 deposit and $420 balance
Ah thank you, I was late to the party on getting the pre-order for him and I bought from the eBay goblins. However, I'm still not mad at Kit for having a bit of an upcharge from the original $480. At this price point an extra $60 USD isn't a game changer mans gotta make money somehow.

It doesnt in person. It just doesnt translate as well in photos for me. Probably my lack of photography skill more than anything.
Yeah it's just pretty much every photo of the sculpted version appears to have a massive chin/jaw but it is probably the framing from the hair causing it.

LOL for me - who time to time re-imagines scenes that may have happened - well, Aragorn can't hold anything except what InArt designed for him, so I sourced some ASMUS hands. Still waiting on the TOPO cloak. Then I thought about it for a while, and sourced ASMUS' Aragorn vambraces. Yes, the InArt ones are very nice. But I got paranoid thinking what if they peel, I need a backup.

So, like, if I am just going to turn around and kitbash my pricey fig, what am I doing $$$$. I'll get Thorin if they make him, but if that doesn't happen I'll be content with my ASMUS since that's an awesome fig - in pristine condition even after all this time. Sure, I'd love an improved Legolas sculpt, but not at InArt prices.

Yep. Like there's always FOMO, but lol I never thought about, when I started collecting, that sure, "better" stuff would come out, with a price to match. :lol I didn't think about the 500, 600, 700, 1,000$+ prices😱. Er, nope. At least most of the time.
