Ok..so today is my first time of really kitting him out.
How did i do with the belt??
The InArt video doesn't help me,and I suck at reading instructions...

p.s...shhhh, I've forgotten to add the small sword to the belt.

This figure is a weird mix of extremes. Absolute joy and abject anxiety I opened him up yesterday and had great fun putting him together and trying to find a pose I liked. But the hair! Still not 100% happy with it and maybe shouldn't have used gloss wax but had no gel around.

And personally finding it hard to photograph (not that I'm very good at it anyway) because lighting seems to significantly change his face. He needs a darker corner of a display to look best IMO.

Feels like a totally different sculpt in that last pic. I'm also now wondering if the hair on mine is a little short especially towards the back.

The forehead as pointed out is capturing any overhead front firing light that distorts the sculpt in photos, it reflects so much light. I find closing his bangs to hug his face closer helps with the photos and tone down the high hairline. It is still a beautiful figure on display. Once I got the hair in a place I was happy he became "no touch" quickly.

You did just fine. Have to admit. I was a little disappointed and shocked at the quality of the belt.

Inart knows the more QC issues they have to fix or refund is going to be giving them a bad rep for future figures. And rightfully so because it's BS to try and sweep it under the rug and hide it. They need to try and actually help or people will start to lose interest in them fast.

Unfortunately, bad reputation means very little in this hobby. Scammers run rampant. Nothing to hold them accountable.

Look at how long, and how much noise it took to take down Toys Wonderland (An extreme and widespread situation).

Although I've seen more than a few people deterred from ordering the new Blade Runner set from por toys, I don't think that's going to put a dent in their business.

Point is, Inart can just go about screwing their customers overseas for as long they're able to.

Speaking for myself, I don't think I'll be invested into this company for much longer. I shouldn't have to feel nervous that my $500 figure will arrive damaged from the factory, without any insurance.

I actually feel your pain.
The Premium i got is complete and spectacular,photos don't do it justice.
But I'm slowly burning out in the 1/6th scale collection,which is 99.9% Hot toys star wars and i just don't "feel" anything for this figure,despite its awesomeness and my love for the movies.
Maybe I'll decide to sell it off or maybe I just need a break.
But no one should have to be anxious about the QC of a $500+ figure,that much is true.

This is definitely one of those figures that needs to be properly lit. Its infuriating because the ideal lighting for him is just outside the cabinet

Got my Premium and Standard Aragorns weeks ago from KG and they were holding the full order until the standards showed up.

They're only absurdly slow with Hot Toys. Everything else is pretty much on par wit Kit.

My order no. was a 656xx btw so you're probably one batch behind me.

For myself to be fair, since I've spent so much time staring at this sculpt/figure - not by choice - still IMO it is the best Viggo sculpt that I've seen. Better than WETA, ASMUS, ACI, Queen (tho I know the companies are more or less the same).

This wasn't my favorite character anyway - but yeah, I'm going through some burnout myself, or something. For me I think it's over-saturation of figs, tho that was nothing I thought about when I started collecting. (I've actually been enjoying the kitbash I'm working on, 'bashing an old Tauriel fig into a random female elf. For me it's fun, collecting accessories, seeing what I think works, what doesn't. It's going on a couple of years now.)

The other thing was the price increases. Makes yah think. Tho admit am excited about ASMUS' Thranduil a fig felt would never happen.

The whole QC thing IMO with "premium figures" is a debacle. Reminds me of WETA when they have put out some pricey pieces and then tell folks it's "individual variations" when it's pretty clear the production cut corners. I still buy WETA but hold my breath opening a box.

Same. I no longer feel an urgency to buy from Inart knowing that I'm considered lucky to get one without issues, which I have done already with Gandalf and Aragorn.
What happened with por toys? I nearly bought from them in the past until I found out their very expensive prices.
