I was the one with the short hair gandalf. My joker, batman and aragorn also had issues. All bought through reputable stores that have direct contact with Inart. They all provided proof of contact with them. And none help whatsoever from Inart. Always get some tip or trick for a diy solution or they say it’s within their standards. Gandalf I even got a direct response from inart themselves via instagram saying it was within standards. I really don’t get the “maybe they did it themselves” train of thought. Why the hell would I do that? Spend €700 and cut the hair short so I can complain on a forum, I wish I had that much money to spend on something as trivial that.

Anyways glad you are a fan of theirs, no missing that.;)
I’m a fan of their potential but starting to lose faith in them. The qc issues are definitely not overblown. They need to get a grip. We are paying premium prices for these figures so qc and cs need to be premium as well. Definitely holding off for a while. Haven’t seen one figure yet without qc issues. Might jump back onboard when they straighten it out.
I never said you yourself would damage the figure yourself. I mentioned that as a general statement, and didn’t think someone did that specifically about the Gandalf short hair.

And Idk, but this all goes back to the fact that most of us are not direct customers ourselves. The third party intermediate showed you what they messaged INART? There’s a definite grey area here that we simply have no control over.

Their QC issues are overblown imo. It stands to reason that the vocal crowd will voice their QC issues (some of which isn’t even a big deal), but unless I’m shown numbers and data, the way I see it is that it’s the smaller percentage, not the majority. Most people have good experiences with INART and not all copies have issues. Naturally, people will voice out negative feedback. Not just for 1/6 figures, but with everything in life. It’s much easier to leave a bad review than a good one for most people. If you have data that can show that all/majority of INART products are defective, please show me. I insist. And I’ll happily eat the ever loving **** out of that crow. I’m not someone who is narrow minded and not open to change and criticism or can’t be proved wrong. I just take things with a grain of salt, and in my own anecdotal observations, INART is for the most part fine, especially not enough to be written off. And I’ve said this before, but if I received legit QC issues, I expect Kit to take care of me if it’s legitimate. Who knows where some of y’all order from. There’s been people on this board that have been asked to destroy the original sculpt to get a replacement. That seems fair to me. Sucks to wait of course, but they’re at least getting a new and hopefully sculpt good sculpt without issues. There’s definitely some people voice their positive experiences with getting replacements. Don’t act like it doesn’t happen.

And I can’t stress enough but know that I do feel empathy towards those with QC issues. It’s obviously disappointing and frustrating. Hell, I’d be sad too! Idk why some of you make it seem like I’m turning a blind eye.

That being said, I think most of y’all should call it with wanting their products though. I don’t think they’re worth the hassle for some of you. Just my two cents.

Yeah okay, but in general who would do that just to **** on a company?
And yes the third party doesn’t help. But still, saying fix it yourselves or saying its within standards is not okay. And yes I’ve seen the email chains between stores and Inart.

Also shouldn’t your logic about data work both ways. We don’t have data showing how much figures have been without issue, so can’t judge based on that. And based on these forums and other places, it truly does seem there are a lot qc issues.
I understand that you aren’t turning a blind eye to the qc issues perse, but you are kind of ignoring the fact that om almost every other page of every inart thread there is a new collector with a qc issue. Hell you even reply to almost all of them. You of all people should have a bunch of data by now.;)

I kid ofcourse. Like I said, glad you are a fan. I’m out for a while, got burned on all figures. So not spending anymore with them until they get their issues in order.

Oh there’s people that do in other things in life, so yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes place here as well. Sometimes you have people who straight up don’t know what they have bought and make it out to be like there’s some issue with the set. Stuff like that.

With things that have no clear cut remedy, yes I agree that’s not okay. But like I said, I’ve seen people who had scuffs on their sculpts and they get them replaced. So which is it? Are they not being replaced or is every instance where they tell you to go f**k yourself?

It’s still a small sample at the end of the day.

Also, what others don’t understand is that INART has various factories, not just one. As I said before and as so conveniently ignored when I say it, they should absolutely standardize their processes and refine QC across the board at all these factories. INART is aware sometimes certain shops do a shoddy job and they break the contract. It happened with the factory where all the Gandalf cheerio One-rings came from, for example.

I’m up for civil discourse man. I’m sorry if I just take things with a grain of salt.

And farewell, partner. I’ll keep enjoying them myself lol.

Not exclusively an InArt issue though, happens on Hot Toys too.
Yeah, my HT Padmé figure has to be lined up. Otherwise the headsculpt won’t connect with the new peg system they’re using.

Funny af I have to do that on my $500 figure.
It’s only $500 cause of the rooted hair.. Sculpted Aragorn has the same mechanism and it was $335 all in, including tax and shipping, the same price as other certain Hot Toys.

Most recent example for me was Baylan.

No problem discussing things and us having a different opinion.:)
You base yours on your experiences and I on mine.
I’m not ignoring the criticisms you bring up and am glad you see them as things that need to be improved. Hopefully you also see that I never say their figures suck. It’s just the qc issues are not okay for the price.

As for the which is it question. I don’t think even they know. Just looked back at my instagram convo with them about gandalf. At first they said sorry to hear that etc and two day later they replied with our qc says it meets our standards. 😂

So yeah idk it’s just a mixed bag with them at the moment and I think i’ve even seen kit say he doesn’t always know with them. Who knows one day I’ll get the perfect Inart figure and rejoin the fanclub.

Have a good one pal!

No one brought Hot Toys into this. Whether its InArt or Hot Toys, $500 or $335, I shouldn't have to deal with this issue regardless on a premium product.
I figured so. As long as we’re on the same page here.

Well, like the other guy said, there’s probably a trick to it man. You’re probably doing it wrong brotha. But if we’re both wrong, tell me. I’m happy to eat crow.

More for me 😋

I’ll let you know if I ever get a true QC issue and what happens.

No one said you do, you can deal with it or you can get rid of it.
