Does the Topo cloak require washing to rinse excess dye?
I washed it with warm water but no dye came out of it. I did it mainly to remove the unnatural creases in the fabric from shipping. However, as others have said it's tough to give it that natural looking folds with water spritzing because it is a polyester instead of cotton like gandalfs cloak was. Now, that cloak is magnificent in terms of manipulating it with water spritzing. So easy to shape it how you like

No but I've found it difficult to hold a good water treated shape due to the polyester fabric. Wish they had used cotton for it.
Yeah, I haven't gotten around to water treating/distressing mine. Hoping to soften it up with softener/hair conditioner etc. But am still happy with it.:frank

Checked out of curiosity. Looks gone at least for now on OneSixthKit. OneMansHobby has it, but never ordered from them. Or E-bay at a mark-up from China. You might have to search for it on FB and other places. You could dare to ask Kit :monkey3 if he will get any more in. Not sure how he feels about inquiries on stuff that was originally a PO at OneSixth. But maybe he will get a few more in.
much appreciated!

Thanks guys.

onemanshobby has it for the same $35 shipped now, so i'd get on that before it sells out. still bummed it wasn't included in retailer release :/
Far as I can tell it's a perfect dupe or near to. But yeah, not InArt's finest hour in that the Ranger look shows up in a fair number of scenes. Plus IMO it's better made than the Elven cloak which has no finishing at all - tho the Elven brooch is nice.

Got a new 100mm Macro lens adapter for my phone, and trying it out on this figure:

I'd pay good money for a full set of 9 Fellowship Elven cloaks (this includes Gandalf the White's silvery cloak) in the correct grey wool with the extremely distinctive woven pattern. I'm not sure why all companies seem to completely ommit that detail. Granted, in some scenes the cloaks look green with all the green filters added (especially the notoriously bad Extended edition Blu-Ray version which has been removed on the 4k version).

This is a case of screen accuracy vs prop accuracy. Personally I'd prefer them to be what you see on screen in this case. The grey would be distracting to me. The correct pattern should definitely be there though. Shame on Inart for leaving it out

The problem is the cloaks change color from scene to scene and this made worse when all versions of the movies have different grading.
