You mean to do a dye job over a black suit? I don't think that would work at all honestly.

The basic rule of thumb is, you can make a lighter fabric darker, but you can't make a darker fabric lighter.

They do sell color removers. I've personally never used them. I'm pretty sure it's just a bleach type chemical that will strip some of the dye out of the fabric. Sounds like a crap shoot to me though. I wouldn't be doing it do anything expensive. A $4 shirt maybe. A $60 suit... no freaking way.

And I'd like to get one of station's cases made up for these guys so they can stand proud on top of one of my Detolfs.

I forgot about the backpack! i was even in the discussion about it! dang but TA's backpack price is too high for me.
Should I only get one dream suitcase for arthur? between him and cobb hes the only one that carries it

They dropped the price a few bucks so it's $11.99 now. Still a little high (better than the $14.99 they initially had it up for), but IMO it's essential to the whole scene. I figured Id be kicking myself if I wanted it in a couple weeks once my other stuff starts coming together and then I wouldn't be able to find it.

If you're displaying then together and from the same 'level', then I say just grab the one suitcase for Arthur.

im not sure about only having one strap on the firefly back pack. not accurate but still works. Well my CObb wont be very level specific. suit is wrong color and shirt isnt pinstripe. I'm just going with a general cobb look

I thought it was a sling pack that Arthur used? Manji (sorry, TEDDY) posted the exact model and the Firefly pack was almost and exact replica scaled down.

The sling backpack Arthur grabs in zero gravity and carries/uses to deploy explosives through the hotel scene is the MAXPEDITION brand Kodiak Gearslinger

It's actually pretty darn accurate. And looks black in the SSC pics. The only glaring discrepancy are the greyish green straps.

I'm a little envious of you guys. Especially those like Marf who just go custom crazy and jump on (seemingly) everything cool (and do it well)! I have to be a little more selective with my funds. I have a SMALL collection, the majority of which are customs. I secretly curse the day I stumbled upon this site. lol

I can already see the attraction. I'm thinking about it all the time at work! Hot Toys is an addiction too, but this is more fun!

Regarding the color of Mr. Charlie's suit, I think it's pretty clear from this picture that Leo's suit is lighter than black:

If I were going for that look I would buy the gray suit and dye it a darker gray. Otherwise two black suits will definitely look off.

I have no idea how to dye stuff though, so I'm glad I'm going with the leather coat look.





Also, is there actually going to be a finished Suitcase that we can buy and display opened?

There is something so much more satisfying of piecing togthee a fig yourself rather than a fully formed HT piece.

Plus, the good thong with this custom project is, onvw you have the right head, they are relatively simple to accomplish if going for the suited looks.
