Damn Mag, those are going to be frigging perfect when the heads are on.
Cobb's belt looks fine to me. Mighty impressive work. I love it. These two figures next to each other will really contrast well in a good way.
do you guys think this suit would work:
i have it and the fit is really nice, but i think the color is a little light. i wonder if it could be dyed to a darker tone. i think the shirt and tie is perfect for arthur. anyone have experience in dying cloth and outfits?
Wish me luck, I'm about to dye my Stark2 suit.... *nervous*
Suit took the dye famously. The stitching was dark enough that it probably won't be noticeable at all.
anyone have experience in dying cloth and outfits?
I tried dying a coat from brown to black. It looked great when I first took it out but once it had dried, it was just a dark brown. It was a shiny synthetic type material, it sounds a lot like what you've said! I don't think it will take the dye any more, but I haven't tried again, so I can't say for sure. And now that it's dry.... it still looks blue. I'm not sure if I just didn't let it soak long enough, or it's synthetic and won't take it. I think it's darker than it was, so I think I'll give it a second round of dye and let it soak for a bit.
Okay, there are a few things I need to tweek:
1) Tailor the vest.
2) Put on different belt for Cobb when it arrives.
3) Give Cobb a ring somehow.
4) Watch for Arthur (?)
5) Darken Cobb's shoes a bit.
6) Trim some excess off of Arthurs belt.
...well, and get heads.
Anyway, here they are as of now:
Because the jacket looks really dark in those pics I'll repost these pics:
now i am definitely liking that COBB outfit more than a black suit..
ah
where did you find the shoes and pants? those small details somehow make the figure so recognizable already
Love the jacket. IMO I think you should sew the corners of the collar down to make it look more realistic. This is something That I always do when the collars stick up like that. Great bashes though.
hey thanks for those findsThanks man!
The pants are from the Hot Toys Chris Redfield figure.
The shoes are from Sideshow's ROTLA Indiana Jones figure.
Sunohc, I was wondering if you could post a picture of your Cobb and Arthur heads side by side, in the same picture. I would like an accurate idea of scale. You mentioned at one point that Arthur looked bigger than Cobb, and I would be curious to see.
Thanks.
Oo, good idea. Futzing can only do so much I'm sure.
Who is going to paint your heads, Maglor? Can't wait to see the finished products.
Hmm, tried a bit of soapy water?
