A Shiremanstown man told police he “got his jollies” by making thousands of phone calls to women and asking them about their pantyhose, a fetish that’s landed charges against him.
Rip Alan Swartz, 43, of the 100 block of East Main Street, made calls to women at restaurants, banks, call centers and hotels over five years, police said.
Swartz made 6,575 calls in a 53-day period in 2010 — as many as 432 in one day in September, court records state. He admitted to making the calls across the U.S. and as far as the Philippines, knowing that he likely alarmed the recipients of the calls, police said.
Swartz told police that out of about 100 phone calls, he could get two women to stay on the line and talk to him, according to court records.
At least you can't fault him for not being persistant.
