Oh man, that is soooo nice. You have to post images of the full piece. Dude, the lips look fantastic. Just a suggestion, don't gloss the lips when finishing up, it will look like lip gloss. Leave em flat. That work is seriously astounding. Please continue on. Makes me want to watch the films.

Re: Indiana Jones 1:1, first custom BIG UPDATE 3/5/10

Hey there all! I know I haven't posted in a while, I haven't really been able to. Some serious health issues followed this past holiday season so that is why I haven't really been posting. But i would never forget about my fellow freaks!!! I have been 'lurking" quite a bit though!
I have two of these threads, One in the customs section and one in the Indy section, just because i like feedback, and I know there are lots of people who check one and not the other.
Anyways here is Harrison AKA Indiana Jones finally painted up. Most of my painting tips, etc. have come from knuclefunger (couldn't have done it w/o him), combined with my own fine-art sort of knowledge. Although I think the sculpt by Howard S is sort of a TOD Indy, I am definitely going Raiders here. I have just put him on the back of a chair for these pics w/ my Indy shirt and jacket, but eventually He will be a full 1:1 scale figure. Some of these pics he sort of looks yellow or orange as well, and that is just my camera, as he does not look anything but sunburnt! Any questions please feel free to ask and to criticize!

Very good. The nose is a bit off, but other than that it is perfect. Without Ford giving you a body cast, this is the next best thing.

Avbat, the credit all goes to you. So glad to see the piece. It's museum quality. I cannot see anything you could improve on. Masterful work. I humbly thank you for allowing me to help out.

Hope the health is good. I understand far to well, with having had brain surgery a year & 1/2 ago, my Father having emergency bowel surgery November & Mom having 6 hrs of brain surgery end of Sept.

So, if you love something (such as this hobby), do it with enthusiasm, hell, do everything with enthusiasm. It sure shows in your painting. Beautiful, just beautiful

Cheers
Joey (knucklefunger)

Hope everything is getting better with the health issue and that's a beautiful paint app.
