Yeah, that scene where Mads questions the waiter's origin was oozing with that type of horrible contempt.
Yeah Mikkelsen I thought was great in the movie. It's just his other henchmen that were so forgettable. The blonde dude was fantastic in Sandman but didn't get to do anything interesting here. The exchange between Voller and the black room service guy was one of my favorite's for his character with just how effortlessly his seemingly sympathetic comments instantly rattled him.
All in all I thought it was going to be a dumpster fire of a movie but I was pleasantly surprised

Yeah I'm wondering if I'm still on the "it was great vibe" — just recently watched. Saw it yesterday, now into today afternoon, still feel it was great. KoTCS, I said it was nice but ultimately said this isn't going to continue, the relationship with Shia. Still can't get over that casting to this day. That really says it all about this movie.
Once the alcohol wears off, I don't know how I'll truly feel about this movie, but last night and today I feel pretty good about it all. Something I never felt about KOTCS.
I was thinking more along the lines of different timelines overlapping in a single universe so more BTTF/Bill and Ted than NWH, lol.Noooooooooooooooooo.... no multiverse, no multiverse!!!!
Yeah Mads was great as always. His "right hand" in this one I've only seen him in Logan but love his nonchalantness he seems to carry over casually in any role.Yeah Mikkelsen I thought was great in the movie. I'm hoping not but most likely you'll be right. I'm not from the era, only caught this one and KoTCS fresh. But I think its going to go down that route mostly due to 1 character that will be caught in reviews, that I was definitely critical of, for good reason too, detailing out a full review to a friend of mine making sure they know she's a big gripe in the film.Love it or hate it , this movie won't last long. Kids and young people just won't see it. Neither would I if I were 15 or 20 again. The movie is so "your parents action hero" movie... and who wants to see that? It will likely be remembered as a huge bomb, never making its money back... maybe even a swan song for the 80's at long last.
Very true, I was about to make a comparison to Unforgiven (which is clearly a far superior film) but holy crap now I'm seeing that Eastwood was "only" 62 in that film? Damn Ford is old lol.Love it or hate it , this movie won't last long. Kids and young people just won't see it. Neither would I if I were 15 or 20 again. Same same. When I saw that I thought he'd be gone which of course wouldn't make sense due to trailers. But yeah I thought for sure total goner for a train that was moving at a relative train speed. Honestly that didn't make sense. Then a small scar to me due to you know the whole scenario. Like pretty sure that's full blunt trauma but ok little scar walk away.Regarding Mads surviving that "first death" aboard the train without damage, I could have sworn I saw a subtle healed 'wound' on his forehead multiple times in certain lighting, subtle but there -- which I assumed was from that hit. Maybe its just Mads actual forehead? I also though that's why he had that gray hair spilling over his forehead alot -- so he wouldn't have to go to make-up.
Yes I noticed the subtle scar as well. Still seems like there has to be two timelines though to account for the watch, lol.Regarding Mads surviving that "first death" aboard the train without damage, I could have sworn I saw a subtle healed 'wound' on his forehead multiple times in certain lighting, subtle but there -- which I assumed was from that hit.
