Indy Legendary Scale? Probably not anymore.

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

I don't know about you guys, but IF I knew the head wasn't getting factory paint aps, I might be a lot more inclined to invest in one of these bad boys.

I'd actually be more inclined to shell out for a Catwoman LSF if I knew her head was going to be nicely painted, too.

From the images I must admit, I find his face to seem a little like a caricature. Obviously, there are resemblances to Harrison Ford, but it just seems a little over the top.

I'm looking forward to seeing some more pictures, but I fear I will be further convinced in this regard.

Really? Granted, it hasn't got that lifelike feel that Enterbay is getting with their 1:4 line, but I don't see anything cartoonish about it. It actually looks like the best polystone Ford portrait so far to me.

I mean, he does have a big schnozzle. :)

Indiana Jones Legendary Scale Figure revisited :

Now we're talking...looking forward to the reveal pics...not sure if i can afford this let alone have the space for it especially with my Iron Man 1:2 scale at home and the Wolverine and Doom 1:2 scales on pre order!:slap

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

Wow this is looking awesome. This is the one non comic themed character I would buy. Saying that this is the only character I would buy in 1/2 scale. I love Indy, I'm really going to have to keep an eye out on this one :)

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

Nadda....it might be a while before this one goes up for PO

I'm ok with that. There's a lot of things I need to get before buying this. I want to complete all the Marvel statues I need 1st before paying out on something like this.

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

I'll bet there's a good chance we see the new-and-improved piece at ComiCon this year with pre-orders starting sometime afterward. (That may well have been the plan last year, too, since they almost displayed the WIP before wisely boxing him back up.)

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

Has anything had this sort of lead time before?

Opening post of this thread was mid 2011.
Probably going to be a full 2 years before we see real prototype shots.

And the lead time between official previews and release for legendary scale stuff is generally huge. Are we looking at a mid 2014 release ?

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

I think we will see the new and improved Inday @ SDCC this summer. I hope they scraped the pose and reworked the face! I buy for me it turns out great!

Well we know they reworked the face since it looks vastly different in the recent pics .....but I think there is zero chance of reworking the pose.

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

Bringing this back to the top as its a good pic.
The light and shadow hide the proto errors on the face and this pretty much shows you what the final product will be....minus the scissors :)

I'm okay with the pose. Its a little dynamic and I like they've gone with something where the whip is in play, something they haven't done before.

I would have preferred the whip overhead initially but I"ve realized that the sheer size of the piece would have made that far too high.

Sometimes it hard to get a sense of size when comparing photos of 1/4 PFs to 1/6 figures ....and I think this 1/2 LS will be quite a stunning center piece with its huge size.

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

Just a random proposal.... but I do not see me throwing down the money to purchase this piece... however... if one of you who does pick this up is willing to loan the belt and hoster out to me for about 3-4 weeks, I will build you a free custom set of a real leather belt and holster... will need them to make templates in order to build subsequent custom sets... just a thought...

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

I hope soon... I have my Wolf to represent the Preds and Aliens.. I'd love a Vader or Maul or Ben to rep the old and new Star Wars and Inday.. well he's Indy...:) That would make my LSF list complete..:) I know he'll be at SDCC...looking forward to the pics!

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!
