The heart being taken out. I had never seen it until YouTube came along

Man I feel sorry for you guys across the pond. It seems like your ratings boards are a bunch of dictators or something. The horse tripping in Conan, editing one of the most awesome scenes out of ToD, kind of ridiculous how much they censor.

Indy FINALLY on Blu! :yess:

Finally something else besides Crystal Skull. :lol

I pray there hasn't been any tampering with these films, like Star Wars?

Anyone read anything regarding any changes?

Spielberg said he regrets changing ET to walkie talkies from guns, and that he wouldn't change Indy.

Well sometimes it's down to the studio, if they let the BBFC class it as a 12a then maybe it can have the scene in it's complete form. To be honest I am surprised that Raiders, which is uncut, managed to get a PG.

Well they did this to it, but Spielberg had the old scene put back in again for the 30th Anniversary screening

Yeah the Blu-Ray should have the original version.

The only thing I see is they added a shadow of the truck on the rock cliff. Doesn't bother me.

I wish they would just clean up some of the stuff in the movies - the plane crashing against the wobbly mountain in TOD and some of the other composited stuff that doesn't hold up. But just recomposit them, don't CGI them.

Watch the video again and pause it as it goes over the edge, you can then see that the whole rock face is different. Anyway it does not matter as we are getting the original version on Blu-ray

...and the perspective between the rock face and the mountains in the distance shift like they would if the camera was following the fall. Yes, it's more realistic (instead of it being a static matte painting), but completely unnecessary.

As much as I love Raiders (my absolute favourite movie), I can wait on getting the blu. It partially depends on how well the restoration and print are, but I honestly haven't been that impressed with blu ray versions of older films except for Alien. It also depends on whether they will add any good extras to the set. I'm also sick of buying duplicate sets of movies with each new technological advancement! I'm on my third set of Alien movies! And I skipped SW on Blu as well.

I'll wait for a good sale.
