A longtime friend of mine introduced me to a gentleman who owns his own sewing & upholstery business. My friend had worked with me in the past on some projects and mentioned it to the gentleman. My friend said the guy was very interested in trying his hand at some custom 1:6 clothing/gear. I met the guy & showed him the SSF board and he was very impressed with Ryan's Blade Runner outfit, edojoe's stuff and some of the other works here. He seems very interested to try his hand at some stuff and he's a really cool guy who owns his own business. We need some more great 1:6 clothing & I'd like to see a guy like this make a profit & share his talent. I was trying to give him an idea of who might be interested and what they'd be interested in if he decided to make a run of a few of the things we discussed.
My first plan is for him to work on a detailed coat for Roy Batty. I have one of the coats from the Android import figure for 3-D reference and I'd be interested in any input/pics/reference/etc about making it more film-accurate if possible. He does some killer leather & vinyl works, so I'm really interested in seeing what he does.
A few other clothing items I'm interested in seeing would be:
-Wolverine's jacket from X-Men origins
-Green Goblin's outfit
-Punisher Warzone vest
-Link's outfit (Zelda)
-Pris' tan bodysuit from Blade Runner
Any input is appreciated.
