The movie industry is racking up tons of money the last few years. Piracy isn't doing anything to it.

How about they crack down on something important like the borders. . . .

my favorite pirated movie site does not work anymore either. l went there today and a big FBI thing came up talking about punishment for piracy and stuff. l just went to a different site and watched a movie. :lol

I applaud the effort to rid internets of piracy. The folks who work hard to create something should be rewarded for doing so. It is no different than stealing a CD or Blu Ray from the store.

It's an infinite game of whack-a-mole. Once you kill one, 2 pops up. Or you can use the Hydra analogy if you want. Whatever.

Yep, you can kill a site, but its alot harder to kill the millions uploading to it.

They'll simply find the sites still operational, and popularize them in a week or two with the same exact content, and then all the money spent on the last crackdown will have just been wasted when it could have gone to much more important purposes. Same as the war on drugs or terror or whatever other fictional things they come up with.

Some would argue that protection of one's intellectual (and other forms of) property is one of the key purposes of government. If you can't capitalize on what you spend your time and energy creating, there is much less incentive to create.

Yeah tons, more like 6 or so, and those are just video streaming sites--why weren't those gone a long time ago? At least stuff like bittorrent and limewire are in a grey area, streaming video is kind of obvious.

Glad to see "The Department of Homeland Security" is doing something usefull. :yess:

Seriously why are they involved? Shouldn't they be ummmmm worried about protecting the American people? I have no problem with them cracking down on piracy. However, I do have a problem with the resources that are being used to do it.

They tried by email, but got spammed.

Those Russians are slick. However, would the CIA please transport that Russian woman that was just arrested and accused of being a spy to my house? I would like to fully interrogate her. :lecture

I wonder if she knows where Chris Howes is?

Who knows? But I would love to interview her!
