Internet Explorer Threat

I had to reboot my work and main pc (I don't share thumbdribes between them), and just updated norton and windows updatte. I had a trusted link in aan email and it wouldn't open the link and crashed my browser. Was this just for IE?

Yes, IE on XP as far as I know.

Switch to Firefox or Google Chrome. I'm surprised so many people are still using IE.
