The problem with sports figures is that sports fandom is so fractured that it would be hard to decide who to make. I'd likely buy a Nolan Ryan. Maybe a Troy Aikman or Emmitt Smith. Jeff Bagwell or Craig Biggio would be nice ... but there's not a chance either ever get made.

Nah, the problem with sports figures is when they change teams. Then you feel you got an outdated figure.

Maybe if you put them in their regular street fashion. Detailed sculpt of Michael Jordan in his suit, Kobe in his after game press-conference clothing. Give them their team jersey as an accessory, but not as the main outfit. I'm a huge Laker fan, I would collect Laker legends in street clothes.

Honestly if we were talking 05 SSC prices $49.99 then I would probably be in for a few figures from various sports current and past. BUT at the rate that figures are going up and considering that the company would have to license the likeness would mean you'd be looking at $100 SSC figures, $150 HT figures and well Medicoms are always kind of likenesses so probably same pricepoint and they'd release one figure and consider the venture a fail. Mohammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth...all have their little cult followings but I don't think enough to support a line. It'd be interesting to get custom HS done though and see if they could be bashed together for cheaper.

It really depends. I'd probably get 1 or 2 of my favorites but the problem is my favorites are not really the mainstream favorites. I fully admit that MJ and prolly Kobe would sell a shat load of product, but I wouldn't have them in my house.

I would pick up classics like Jackie Robinson or Mickey Mantle. They would have to be good though, current SSC or HT quality. i have the old Starting Lineup 12"ers and they don't get displayed anymore because the quality is poor.

No interest whatsoever. Sports figures are what killed McFarlane Toys.

:exactly:Unless they did an Anna Kournikova...
