Iron Man 2 Mark II Should Hot Toys redo the Mark II?

After looking at one of the custom Mark II's one of the fellow freaks did I can't help but wonder why Hot Toys doesn't make another Mark II with a Rhodey head in it from Iron Man 2. Would you guys buy it?

Personaly I realli want HT to redo both the mk2 and mk3 with the new style of sculpt of the mk4, I would buy both no questions asked. I think the mk3 would look so amazing done with the red of the bd and the awesomess of the 4, maybe one day

I'd like to see another one as well as Mark III done up to the caliber of the IV, V, and VI, but I don't think it's going to happen unfortunately.

No. There will be enough Iron Man product in The Avengers and Iron Man 3 to keep everyone busy not to mention that I'm sure when we see the Mark IX people will be asking that they go back and redo the Mark VI. Not to mention its a progression. It'd make sense that the figure would be of lesser quality since Stark is refining throughout.

How could you possible reach that conclusion? Maybe the gunmetal grey one, but why would they possibly paint the mk4 in a mk2 scheme? Unless I missed something...

Agreed.

By re-releasing updated versions they will be setting a tough precedent to follow and upsetting a lot of collectors, who will ultimately wait for that "perfect final version" of a character to be released before buying.

A strategy like this could ultimately hurt them.

I would say NO. Mainly because I have Mark II , and HT have bigger fish to fry with this license than rehashing old designs.

BD Mark III already looks outdated because of the awesomeness of the Mark IV. Doubtful Hot Toys would revisit it. Mark IV (or even VI) mold would be a more likely repaint, if such a repaint were to be made.
