Okay, I just got Iron Studios' AoU Cap and HOLY **** I'm not sure the CW one can beat that. Such beauty ... I'm stunned (also by the size coz it's my first 1/4 XD).

I do like how both figures have a very different feel to them. AoU Cap is standing strong and ready to attack while CW Cap is more defensive. I'll most likely still get the CW one but I don't think it will have the same presence as AoU Cap ... *_*

Many Many congrats TC!!!! Totally hear yah about the IMPACT of a first look at a 1/4 Iron Studios figure - for me it was Black Panther and I just freaked (and really understood why folks have entire rooms of 1/4!) It's just jaw-dropping what IS does.

I'd pick up AOU Cap in a heartbeat re the right condition/price. I dunno - I suppose I'd prefer the AOU Cap, but w. Cap being part of a set and already owning two of team Cap - well, I gotta have Cap. Cap + Bucky. Cap + Bucky + Falcon. I stare at Bucky and think IMO that w. all the movement and perfection of the piece, IS couldn't have done better. He's my favorite. Falcon is spectacular. So I gotta have Cap - figure too, his pose like Iron Man's is something different with this dio.

Your AOU Cap is a real find! Could understand if you opt out of CW Cap $$$$ ??? Not that you said that, but as much as these things cost *sigh*. Was looking at the 1/10s again yesterday - good deals for me at PopCultcha - but I just can't justify.

Anyway, many congrats again, from pics that AOU Cap is stellar and seems to be considered by at least some the best Cap ever done.

I feared he'd forever point his finger at me, judging me like "you should have not spend so much money on me!" ... ^^'' but he's on top of my hemnes desk unit so he's pointing out of the window ... thank god! XD

I definitely still want CW Cap coz I do think he looks great. He's just a slightly quieter piece as compared to the AoU one. That one is like this majestic stag that you see at a clearing and that's just standing there with it's breast out and it's pretty antlers, looking your way and you can't help but stare in awe-stricken silence ...
CW Cap looks freaking great but he's more of a group piece imo. He'll look amazing with Buck and Falcon and even better with the entire set but if you look only at him, then he's a bit less than what i expected of IS. I don't mind much coz I'm getting him with Buck but for someone who's just looking to get a great 1/4 MCU Cap statue, AoU is probably the way to go.

Completely agree with everything you posted and that is a beautiful comment about AOU Cap! Argh - $$$$ don't know what is is this April - expensive - BUT if I had a good opportunity for an AOU Cap I'd leap on it. IMO you did the right thing - it freaks me out how few the pieces are IS that makes for a given character - low edition sizes. And at least with AOU, Batman, CW IMO the sculpts and details are outstanding. It's nice to own pieces that are this good - pricey, but for me a decision I'm glad I made.

And I will credit IS for doing something different IMO w. Cap and IM - e.g., think a lot of companies use a similar "heroic" pose for Cap - or Cap tossing the shield. The CW Cap IMO is something accurate to the character in the films, but not the same old thing. And even better with his bros with him. I'd still grab an AOU Cap if I get the chance want him more than a Thanos EX

Now the question is, will Cap have a long ship delay and/or will Bucky #2 - for me - be delayed a 4th time? Never mind the folks still waiting on Falcon for unknown reasons!

I did the same. Not paying the insane prices for AoU but Civil War Cap looks great.

The sculpt looks great, but the pose is dull. I have no interest in the full diorama, and the pose on cap doesn't work as a stand alone IMO. Just my 2 cents

Don't think anyone knows.

For some of the pieces in this diorama set I don't think anyone here knew until someone posted the first batch of in hand pics.

Heck I think I was the first to post in hand photos and edition size on 2, maybe 3 of the four pieces released in this set.


Edited: Actually I could be wrong as the Mark 46 supposedly is only 300 pieces! I think someone may have mentioned what Cap was.

Thanks! Sounds like about the other edition sizes. More or less. I'd like to ask Iron Studios what their "game plan" is re any expansion or do they always plan to have low edition 1/4 and 1/3 and do more 1/10.

LOL d*mn...hadn't thought about it as thought "one day" I'd get an Ultron Cap $$$$$ and I'd have CW Cap to go w. the two Buckys, but...re my situation and how well Bucky looks on the Hemnes unit and the way CW Cap is posed....and then they'll never make these again and IMO just Cap and Bucky look so good...and maybe re SDCC if Iron Studios is there folks will start grabbing the last of these up...the more I look at Cap's position the more I like it, especially if you are going to have on an upper shelf.... I mean IMO it's amazing to look up while you're working and see a stellar Winter Soldier just makes me feel better....plus this Cap looks easier to deal with re the base and all that....

Oooooooh - many congrats! 20% off these guys is a good deal! BP was my first of these 1/4 and OMG when I opened that box I honestly was stunned. Just so blown away. Pics never seem to do justice. And these guys are heavy and solid - nothing skimpy here!



These figs are just OMG!!!! The PRESENCE. And whatever may happen with BP in future films - or any of the characters in this dio - for me these figs are perfect interpretations from an incredible film - BP got introduced in CW and this sculpt is just mind-blowing - the DETAIL and the pose. Hope he ships quick - I've had real good luck ordering from Pop so far and they seem to be able to ship w. amazing speed (yeah, you pay for it, but I'm still impressed!)

Nice clean display! And it looks "extendable" too? Oh, yeah, seems like all the CW dio figures have been great. The BP thread has more pics...well, to be honest, so far, I like the CW BP suit better too - tho I would have been happy anyway.

It's just gonna be so cool to have Cap - hope some forum members are at upcoming SDCC and can talk to IS and share about Cap and Iron Man from this line.
