as far as I am aware of.. it was only Spiderman and they corrected it by re-sending new statues...

their first iron man was rather awful. The second iron man was perfect...until they decided to increase the edition size and make more...the second run was plagued with issues.

their magneto was bulletproof and we all know about spidey.

all that to say, well...let's hope for the best ! : )

I think everyone that wants Darth Vader has just bought the Sideshow Premium Format one recently.
Don't think there is a big demand right now for 1/4 Vader.

If you're saying that you believe people have recently bought the sub par SSC 1/4 new Sith Vader on the ridiculously high base as a reason as to why people won't be ordering this one, then, Sorry but I could not disagree more. This IS Vader blows it out of the water with a realistic action pose from possibly one of the most popular trilogy films, more LED's than a room full of detolfs lit up, and a Hoth base. There's just too many wins with this statue, and with a 1000 ES? Jesus. If this thing isn't completely sold out in the next day or so, I'll be placing another PO for a second, possibly third.

it is a great statue, but there is also collector fatigue, especially if you collect multiple licenses.

I imagine some are simply waiting for inhand pics before making a move. Plus, this is readily available from ADs, so there isn't necessarily a "rush" even if SS eventually says it is "sold out" on their site.

I see a lot of SS Vader PF's selling below retail lately. Probably to make room for the IS version.

I myself hope IS brings us more of the heavy hitters that SS refuses to make such as an updated Han, Leia, Luke, Etc.

Its not really a matter of this one blowing the other one out of the water, its a matter of a lot of collectors are only going to purchase a single 1/4 scale version of a certain character and then they are going to move onto a different character. And since SS has already released 2 different Vader PFs probably a lot of collectors have already acquired their 1/4 Vader and have moved on.

You're not really getting what I'm saying.

I'm holding off on the IS piece until we get in hand photos/reviews. I really don't think this piece will "skyrocket" on the secondary market.

Per a previous post, Iron Studios has stated on their Facebook that the ES for this piece is only 1000.

I am excited to get my 3rd 1/4 and maybget the McQuarrie Vader. I collect them all and love them all. DGAF who likes what they all are cool to me.

Or maybe they'll decide that a 1k run is not enough and will throw in a couple more statues in order to increase profit.

I guess that happened before with IS.

Highly doubt it. That'll just ensure no one buys another IS statue ever again. Can't really throw out an ES and then renege on it in this hobby. Public image isn't great with IS after Spiderman, I doubt they'll take the risk.
