Eh, I think it looks better in the new pics. Not perfect but decent. Plus I am more interested in the masked portrait anyhow. POed the deluxe Thor holding Mjolnir makes me want to order him now as well

It could be the angle but the Chris Evans head looks like he's thick around the neck with a little extra weight. This is just the prototype so hopefully Iron Studios hears the feedback and makes those minor detail adjustments. Looks great!

Thor - er - hate to say it but that switch-out looks tacked-on.

IS is too good - someone rushed Thor proto or didn't think this through. Guess I can kick back and wait on him, probably. Maybe I'll get another coupon tho the well could have dried up.

I might just save a $100 and go for the regular. I will never use the DX head and as cool as it was to see him wield Mjolnir, I don't think I would display him with it. Cap wearing his helmet and holding his shield is his most iconic look imo. Not only that, I need to pinch as many pennies possible if I plan on picking up EG Thanos and Thor as well.

Does anyone think he may be a bit overscaled? Much like their AOU Cap?

His height is listed at 23.2” or 59cm which seems at least 5cm or 2 inches to high considering the height of the base from his back foot.

I never thought I'd buy a 1/4 scale anything. Maaaaaybe a figure, but never a statue. Seeing this piece changed my mind real quick. It's gorgeous.

Problem is now I feel like I need to get the IM statue. And once I PO that, then I'll feel like I need Thor too.

IMO a reasonable plan when u think about shipping $$$ etc. down the line. If I didn't already have a helmeted Cap I'd stick with the regular.

Either way probably the most definitive movie Cap I've seen, or maybe will see that I an squeeze out funds for.

I went down that road to hell but no regrets over the long run - if IS keeps up their quality it's like buying prototype quality - very clean paint with the CW figs.

Also the unhelmeted headsculpt is still really bad.

That's stinks for you guys who wanted to display him like that and while I was never gonna display mine, $800 should've came with a better looking sculpt. Some angles do look better than others though.

Definitely the AOU is overscaled.

And I still honestly believe that their CW Team Stark pieces that I have of IM, Black Panther and War Machine are overscaled too. Heck IMO they dwarf their corresponding CW Team Cap pieces.

Interesting. I will need to see the high quality pics of Mark 85 and Thanos before I even consider Thor. Cap was the one sure thing of the bunch for me. I also wonder if $800 is the floor and thus the list price for Thor, with the 85 and Thanos coming in higher?
