I don't mind the flag at all, I don't see what the big deal, he is patriotic, nothing wrong with that, I'm not American and won't have a problem displaying this piece just because it has the American flag.

Hi i am a sideshow collector living in Ireland and i cant understand why so many people have a problem with iron man holding the flag of his country. Iron man is as american as apple pie and i think it looks great with the pose. For me the flag sets it off and i will have no problem displaying it in my home flag and all.
