Well, Plissken gets his sweet revenge in the end. He's a total badass. Escape from New York seriously had one of the best endings that I've ever seen.

Well, he rips up the tape that was pivotal for world peace. Plissken just didn't care that the U.S. was on the brink of WW III. The dude is a badass mofo who doesn't give a damn about anything.

Well, John Carpenter was actually planning a sequel called, "Escape from Earth". It never saw the light of day, though. I guess it would be kind of hilarious to see Snake in space .
