I am. I hear things about how fragile they are, pieces braking, ect. I move them ever so slightly, end up getting scared and move them back to neutral poses. These figures are damn expensive and I'm afraid to mess with them that much. I don't wanna brake them. I am also a highly anxious person, so that may tie into my fear of over-posing. Is anyone else like this or an I a FREAK?

I've disassembled and re-assembled a few figures, and do customizing, so I probably don't worry about it like someone who can't do that. Basically it's just knowing where the weak points are and respecting them - you can find out easily enough by reading through the forum about any specific figure you want to know about. I did have the misfortune of damaging two figures early on, I just bit the bullet and got new parts. A little bit of research can really help you know how to handle a figure and maybe help you to worry less about it.

I'd switch out parts a lot more if it didn't mean busting out the hair dryer. I prefer to set and forget for the most part, but some figures make it hard to do anything different:

Never posed Leonidas to avoid wear on the rubber.
Spiderman3 Spidey has fragile wrist pegs and ankles, never pose it.
ACI Roman General (Maximus) has a few armour pieces that are a pain to position in place, never pose it.
SSC Stormtrooper - floppy body, never pose it. Ditto Enterbay Mr Bean.
CR Superman has a snaggy suit, never pose it. Ditto '66 Batman and Robin.

The only figures I really enjoy reposing from time to time are the Bruce Lee figures and Jack Sparrow.

I only museum pose. I might angle with a tilted head but my collection looks kinda boring(which i like).

Pretty much how I am as well. Have little to no problem posing my figures once I get to know the limits of what they can do.

Echoing what others have said about rubber body figures. Don't really get crazy on posing those. The others, I'll try and find iconic poses for them, one and done, never repose.

The only ones I have a hard time with (other than rubber heavy figures) are Iron Man diecast figures. I'm always so careful with those. One wrong bend or twist and you've scratched the armor somewhere.

Oh the blessings of such an immersive & joyous hobby, huh? :lol

Who cares, just go to town on 'em. They're not that expensive, you break 'em, you break 'em. So long as you're having fun, that's what really matters. At the end of the day, a Hot Toy is just a toy, right? :lecture

What an awesome video. I did cringe a bit when he was moving the arms though. Cute kid.

I'm not afraid to pose them so much as I'm annoyed at the near certainty that a hand will fall off. And then I won't be able to get it back on unless I heat it up, which means now I'm going through a whole process when all I wanted to do was move the arm into a new position or whatever. I really, really wish the peg to wrist connection on these things was stronger, and easier to manage. As a rule I pick one pose for my Hot Toys and stick with it pretty much forever, or at least until I buy new figures and have to decide how to mix them in with the existing collection, which often means wholesale rearranging and reposing--but that's only once or twice a year.

I suppose I'm a bit afraid that my Superman will have problems eventually because he has the rubber suit and I have him posed with his elbows bent and his hands on his hips, giving the bad guys a good staring at. But he's Superman and the pose is too sweet not to use. If the rubber suit starts cracking at the elbows I guess I'll just call it battle damage.

Never had any desire to play with Hot Toys figures. I am an adult.

I'm careful when posing my Ada, and I'm careful with posing Jill due to her inhibiting suit lol. But still doesn't make me too scared, so long as they stay in their protective case.
