is Batman being in Man of Steel 2 good for the Superman Franchise?

The Superman franchise has not been able to get a foothold with audiences since Superman 3.

Now with Man of Steel he's back as a popular movie character with an audience ready for the sequel to continue this series.

Batman has just come off a very successful trilogy of his own, so a new Batman will be met with skeptism and most likely disapoinment and hate.

Batman is a bigger character than Superman, so it's likely he will take the spotlight in Supermans sequel, putting aside the geek dream of seeing them together is it good to include Batman this soon after Superman has finally gotten a new and interesting movie franchise?

Other than the Superman franchises success or fail, Is it too soon to introduce Batman into Supermans life, should he have more development first?

No different than cramming Avengers into Iron Man 2. :dunno

Personally I'd have preferred Man of Steel to be two or three movies in before a Batman/Superman combo, but from what I've gathered so far, the planned 'Batman vs. Superman' is not a sequel to MoS but a standalone film, in which case it's easier to go along with. I'd still have preferred more time for MoS to stand on its own, but it could be a great cross-over film all the same.

Kinda fits inline. Is Batmans entry into Supermans life too soon, Should this Superman have had more development on screen before adding Batman

Can't wait to see Superman snap Batman's neck! :yess:

I think Batmans a good idea. Its clear Zack is trying to open up this DC Universe where all these other characters and events are possible and can happen. Superman and Batman are my favorite characters of all time, and im so pumped for this movie!

In terms of it being to soon. Yeah i mean i think we all want MORE Superman but honestly these movies take 2-3 years to make, a Trilogy could last 5-10 years and i want Epic movies sooner rather than later.

They live on the same planet, at the same time line, so why not?

I just hope they cast batman correctly, any screw up could hurt both franchises.

I don't care about when these two interact so much as who the creative team is behind their meeting. Snyder and Goyer are not in my top 10 list.

They could make it more fun with smurfs or my little pony, as friend and foes:rotfl

Batman not exactly a "fun-loving" character anyways. Keep it dark I say.

^ By that logic they should throw out all existing villains and make brand new ones since "errypony alrdy knows dat".
