After months and months .... and more months of waiting I just received notice that I won a chargeback dispute... as a seller!:google

It was for an ebay item I sent in flawless condition, I even received positive feedback from the buyer. I had all the evidence to support my case and yet I felt it was a hopeless battle. Of course paypal took money from my account immediately once the dispute was started. I swear as a seller you have no protection. :emperor

At least it is possible for a seller to win a charge back dispute with Paypal.... even if you do have to wait a few months.

I can't imagine the hoops they made you jump through.

I submitted a 2 page detailed report to them and then I had to submit all the shipping documentation. Furthermore, I had to direct them to my ebay account and the positive feedback left for the item. Then I submitted all my messages with the buyer... To be honest, they didn't seem interested at all. I even received a "you have lost this case" email to which I fired back with an "Are you fuc king serious email!?" :lol

What makes this all the more impressive is that the chargeback was for an item under $15. :rotfl

Dude, that awesome, they probably were hoping that you would give up. Good for you for keeping up the fight, whether it was $15 or 15 cents! Congrats ! I'm going to have a Whopper to celebrate!

If you don't mind, what was the customers complaint?

The complaint was that he never received the item. It was a DVD. I sent it out exactly as I was supposed to according to Ebay and Paypal rules and procedures. So this one was a pretty easy case. Should have been open and shut down within a week but doing anything through Paypal takes freakin years man. Ebay and Paypal will definitely turn a deaf ear to sellers. They tried to shut me down several times but I kept persisting.

I just hope this doesn't happen again. It was really a lot of work. the whole ordeal was incredibly frustrating as well. Just try to talk with real people at these companies. They hide their phone numbers and then if you are lucky to find one, no one on the other end wants to accept responsibility. then they send those emails about your account being in the negative but why on Earth would you want to pay it back?! Then the seller is not only out the item but they payed for it as well?! Crazy!

Congrats..

I 100% refuse to sell this type of stuff on ebay.. I had like 3 or 4 bad experiences in a row.. Sellers have a big target right on their butthole.

In the long run its good, I'm picky as to what I'll buy cause I'm keeping it.

Even though the item I sold was a DVD I know where you are coming from. Lately I too have been really selective in my purchases because I don't want to deal with the hassle of selling things later on. Too much work and people are too greedy and crazy out there.
