Well, recently I purchased a brand new HDTV. It's a 52 inch Samsung. It arrived last night and I watched some movies in Blu Ray and....
It just might be too good. AS in too High Def! It's so good it's distracting. I can see everything and I sometimes just don't think I should. The picture is so clear it makes things so real which can be a bad thing as well as a good thing. Some scenes now look very acted and on sets. I can tell when the lighting from scene to scene isn't exactly the same as well as the effects like fog or smoke. I can tell what's natural light and what is fake lighting. Peoples heads are giant and kind of scary at times. I was freakin out man. I saw frogs flying at me and doing it on branches so close to my face it made me want to puke. Their little fingers and faces... anthropomorphosis occurred.
Now, not to sound snotty nosed or anything but I am wondering if any of you have gone through this. I want to get used to this but at the same time I kind of miss the soft glow that movies tend to usually have that tie everything together visually. I watched Casino Royale last night and some scenes looked like they were filmed using a home camera, a really really really great home camera but you get the picture- too real. Maybe I just need to move back a little.
