What's there to debate? And calling someone a F'ing baby or lame ass isn't really the way you handle yourself in a debate. All it shows is the intelligence of the person dishing out the names and not really providing any substance. The only thing he brought up is that Sideshow is raping Star Wars fans and SS loyalist and it had nothing to do with what we are even talking about.

Exactly, you can make a point or bring one up without tossing out insults.

FROM THE DUDE WHO POSTED THIS:lol
Man they have been working hard making bad ass dinosaurs that I would have bought if I was 5. Seriously they have all these lines but they decide to make Dino's and then they get some really dumb licenses like The Fly, Jurassic Park, Species, pretty much franchises that don't really have much if any of a following and then they totally neglect actual cult and fan followings like G.I. Joe, Indy, and I would even welcome some more Freddy and Jason stuff at this point. The only property that is even getting any decent treatment which I am greatful for is Star Wars yet they still haven't even touched on some big names like Yoda, Chewy, R2, 3PO, Emperor, or anything from the Cantina in 12 inch or Premium Format scale in the past 3-4 years they've had this license. :banghead

FROM MY ORIGINAL POST
only cause they don't see the value of this line. Hell every fig will be over a ^^^^ing $100 anyway!! :banghead:banghead:banghead
Plus you can't really make any Variants out of this line (Symbiot Spiderman?!? WTF!!!) Of course I wouldn't put it past them to make Tiger force and Viper Comand before we see a Zartan.
WHAT I SAID
Sure, people will pay $100 for figures so they are going to sell them for $100. You don't think they notice what's going on in the secondary market? Do you think preorders are slowing down? People will buy it. $100 for Toht? Come on. A kit bashed EP2 Kenobi, a handful of troopers, stupid variants - fans are eating it up while the Show laughs itself to the bank
I BELIEVE THAT IS ON TOPIC

How bout instead of speaking your mind you just STFU.

Who the flip cares. ^^^^^ing about it ain't going to help anything.

We all know a Cobra Trooper is pretty much finished, they just need to preview it.

How do we know that the trooper is finished Evil? From the Commander preview? They looked small to me like they might have been 3 3/4. They did not look like that to anyone else. Also, I thought we might be seeing a Joe next, after Cobra was announced last.

I'm patiently waiting for whatever they come up with, and I'm sure it will rock.

It was in a video 6 months ago, they can at least put it up for preorder to show the line is moving along.

I am about few days away from just cancelling SE and CC if Sideshow doesnt get their move on with this line...I came in expecting these to come out like how the 12" Starwars line would....momentum is lost and I get to stare for a year at empty shelves and only 4 figures a year were getting to boot! Hasbro take your license back and make your own high end figures because this is moving way too slow for me...I'll stick with the 25th Anniversary

Right now I am not worried at all, but if nothing comes by Toy Fair, we have probs for sure!!!!

Meh, I'm not concerned. One company can only put out so much stuff at a time, and Sideshow has a lot of excellent licenses to keep up with.
Doesn't seem to me that Sideshow is putting out new figs any slower than Hot Toys. If you look at the overall, they announce new stuff on a pretty steady basis. I's just not always for the lines we would like.
People were crying for the premature (and unofficial) end of the Raiders line two figures ago!
Just relax and be patient. We haven't even gotten the first figure yet! I'm sure we'll see something new in good time.
Meanwhile, I'm still pretty stoked about SS and CC. They're top of most fans' lists, and we're getting them next year! Woooo!!

Valid points, but maybe SS would have been better served dropping teh announcment of the line closer to havign a fig ready to ship, it will be almost a full year from annoucing to having the first fig in hand.

I think this move is used to guage interest to see how far they will go with the line.

If they aren't willing to commit to the line then neither am I. I'm not paying over $100 a figure if we are only getting 3 or 4 figures then the line is dead. I think my main gripe is coming out with a half ass collection just like they have done with many of their lines. For example the LOTR's 12 inch line, how long has it been since the first figure came out and now they are saying the line is put on hold and the choices are poor when it is obvious they are trying to get the Fellowship out to collectors then we get a Faramir whammy. And with Star Wars its so hit or miss when it comes to their choices. I just don't want to start another collection of figures just to be let down and only get a handful of figures. If they would roll out these lines with some consistency they would see that the customers will buy if they can see the other end of the rainbow, but all they are giving us is a brick to stand on.

Feel free to cancel your exclusives guys. I know there are people on the wait lists hoping you do. They can announce a figure in December and one at Toy Fair and suddenly we've got Snake Eyes in hand with three other figures up for preorder. When we've got SE sitting on our shelves and no other figure on the way except CC then, and only then, will I worry about the status of the line.

Here are two pictures that I took at the San Diego Comic Con this year:

I honestly was more impressed with Cobra Commander, but they both were highly detailed.

These two figures are so basa$$! When I saw them at Comic Con, I too was a convert, so thank you for reposting those pictures to get my blood up again. While we are waiting a long time, I have faith that Sideshow will deliver the goods as promised. They originally stated four figures per year, one per quarter, and that is alright by my budget. I want them all in this line!

I think the economy may be a factor in slowing some of these lines down a bit, and SS is smart to hold back, if that is what they are doing. Also, as far as announcing the line so long ago at the beginning of 2008, I think they were just very excited to have the license and wanted to share in the excitement.

Very soon, we will all have our SE in hand and be begging for more. CC will exceed expectations. For one, I am glad that my CC exclusive converted. And I'm hoping some of the doubters will cancel their SE exclusive so that that one will convert for me as well.

:D

I'm cool with having only 2 figures in the pipeline at any given time.

There are 2 things that keep people interested.

1) Product announcements
2) product delivery.

They don't need to announce a new product every 3 months, and they don't need to deliver a new product every 3 months. But if they could figure out a way to do 1 of those 2 things per quarter, I think it establishes a nice pattern. 2,3 announcements per year and 2,3 delivery per year.

I'd like to see something like that.

As for the bashing... There's no need to call people out. Most of the ^^^^^ing in this thread is geared towards excitment of the line.
