Q: Your G.I. Joe figures are spectacular! One question for you though; is there any chance of a Steel Brigade figure being made? If you remember Hasbro started the Steel Brigade in 1987, which featured a kit-bashed figure with unique helmet and the idea was that “you” could be the Joe in the suit. Hasbro even allowed you to fill out a questionnaire that would be used to create a custom file card with “your” name, codename, and specialty. Is there ANY chance that Sideshow can do the same? Many fans would love to have the opportunity of “becoming the next Joe!”

A: Not for the time being – we have too many popular, named characters to get to still, as well as army builders and ninjas to tackle. But it is an interesting suggestion, and we will share it with the team!

We've already got a few named characters in the pipe so I'd say we're due for an army builder since we just got the Red Ninja. My guess is a Crimson Guard.

Agreed. As cool as the ninjas look I dont think they should keep pumping those out. They're far more important army builders for them to get to than stormshadows pawns.

We've already got a few named characters in the pipe so I'd say we're due for an army builder since we just got the Red Ninja. My guess is a Crimson Guard.

I submitted that question months ago (right after Mando announced he'd be casting the heads) so its possible that's an old answer (when the Red Ninja was still a ways off) that they saved for the SDCC queue. I took their response to just mean "Um, yeah, after we've already made every other conceivable character, named guys, troop builders, ninjas, eco warriors, etc, we may give half a thought to the Steel Brigade."

After Brant mentioned the 5 joes, I asked him if he had any hints about who they were. I don't have his exact quote, but he did say something to the effect that jungles, deserts, and marine environments should be well protected.
