I'm in the same boat... yippeee
These things are expensive enough... and there are too many great characters to be made.

Duke needs to be made soon!!!!!

They are really dragging with this line. Duke does need to be made but he is very 'generic army guy', i cant blame them for waiting on him. If they made him now it would prob be with the ridiculous movie black power suits version...and NOONE wants that...

Bring him on! :rock

Though the more I reread the old comics the more my preference continues to lean toward Hawk. Larry Hama has gone on record as saying he was never happy that Hasbro pushed Duke on him as a replacement for Hawk. Duke is barely in the comics and seems to show up periodically as a "strike team" leader when multiple groups are sent out. Hawk gives the commands and even joins the fray, just like Duke on the cartoon. I'd be happy with either one.

That Duke set up with a jet pack would make for a great figure. Exclusive could be the American Flag on a pole. :lecture

The American Flag/Rocket pack scene just brings tears to my eyes whenever watching GI JOE the movie intro, that's what it's all about. Fighting for the American dream!!! :rock :rock :rock Rocket pack and all!!!

Personally I'm thinking with the developement of the new parts we've seen for the pro and Sideshow's answer that it was for an upcoming Joe figure we're gonna see Rock&Roll next.

make it happen! jk

Ha, that is awesome.

I don't find Duke to be too generic looking. I think Footloose or Dusty would be more in that catergory even though I love both.

Come on now. Grunt, Zap, Hawk V1, Short Fuse and Clutch were the generic looking ones. (not so much, Clutch, a beard does wonders for individuality for early Joes.)
Duke is a mandatory release...along with Flint and Scarlett.

I hope we see Rock n' Roll v1. He was always one of my early favs. Flash, too.
Ship Wreck seems likely, too. He was always a fan fav.

For some reason, I never liked Ship Wreck. He was one of my least favorites. I would love a Flash though.

This from tonight's Q&A

"Is Sideshow planning on attending the G.I. Joe convention this August in Kansas City, Missouri? If so, do you plan on bringing any previous or new products to display. Also, will there be any exclusive merchandise for the show?"

Sideshow will not be attending the G.I. Joe convention in KC, Missouri. We will be exhibiting at San Diego Comic-Con, in a big way!

Oh man, I can't wait! I think Sideshow is out to make a huge splash with GI Joe this year at con.

"Big way" could mean:

1. Several 12 inch figures at once
2. Premium Format
3. Large environment (CC's throne, etc.)
4. 1/6 scale vehicle

I wonder how many people would pay $800 for a 1/4 scale Zartan and Swamp Skier.
