a new joee announcement is long over due.....the death of the line cometh if Sideshow does not get on the ball with these.....I see 4-8 characters and done!

Why does Sideshow do that?
They have a great merchandise line and they let it go to crap.
Sideshow has a real chance to do something great with G.I. Joe!!!
Let's see some great characters like Destro or the Baroness.

I think we're due for an announcement. Personally I'm anxious to see the Cobra Trooper up for announced soon. With all the cool Military figures from HT I imagine they'll sell as well as the Stormies. I for one would definitely clear out the space for a nice Cobra Trooper squad.

Storm Shadow seems like the next logical choice to me. Baroness would be cool but the Female Buck body stinks.

Yeah... SS Baroness scares the crap out of me... unless SS severly changes, we won't ever see her.

If we don't see a new Joe by 2009 I'm out! :D

Hey at least we got the Dinosauria diorama.....(add sarcasm)

Seriously is anyone buying this ^^^^e?

GI Joe isn't a line that requires "momentum" to survive. It isn't tied to a current cartoon series, comic book, or movie. Sure all three of those other things are on the way from other companies but they aren't connected to SS.

The 1/6 scale Joes are tapping into a collector market that's been going strong for 26 years. A few months between announcements certainly won't hurt it.

Very good point, but since the line is focussed around the cartoon design, wouldnt you say that the audience is smaller. i would think tradioyional collectors would be more into the HT military line.

This is the only line Sideshow needs to keep in 12 '' form...The First ,the original 12'' figure ever: Gi Joe.....

:rock

I want to see more joes as much as the rest of you....the problem is, with economy going into the toilet, and the cost of these each (89.99-119.99) and the slow release of each of these..the momentum will be lost! G.I.joe will survive in 25th anniversary form (for now) but Will not last long in 1/6 scale.Watch and See!

Look at the 12" LOTR (7 figures and done!) G.I Joe will suffer the same fate....
there are not that many 1/6 G.I. Joe collectors and its not enough to make a full line of these! :(

As long as they make 7 Cobras from the high Command....
