My wife and I were a Neilson family last week but weren't able to watch Fringe because it wasn't on the air.

Thankfully there was a spot to write in other shows you watch that weren't on that week.

Fringe was the first one on the list! :rock

Lloyd was great!

A little let down by the ending, with the whole thing just being a test for Walter. But still a great show. :)

I'm confused by one scene near the end of the episode. Right before the Observer fires at Peter with that force-gun, he says something along the lines of "It's tough being a father" or something like that. Is he implying that Peter is going to be a father? Or is he referring to Walter?

I took it that the observer can travel in time that he saw Peter in the future as a father, but maybe I am worng.
Also, I think for the show to survive, just have everyone dvr the show if you can't watch it because wouldn't that still count towards ratings?

And how about that Twin Peaks reference.. cant remember the last time I yelled "HOLY _____" while watching a tv show...maybe the Rita Dexter finale.. but this was close.

I don't remember the exact dialogue (what Peter said first) but I assumed he was referring to Walter when he said that.

I didn't get that at all. :dunno

I love Twin Peaks. Refresh my memory. What reference was there?

Maglor it wasn't just a test for Walter it was about showing the consequences of one's actions. He was merely showing that Walter's single minded focus of not wanting to lose Peter again could potentially spiderweb to bigger consequences.

Yeah, that was the subtext, but not the central motivation for the Observers manipulation of events.
