I am struggling to not order this. I have the original Spidey Comiquette which is awesome. Something about these being directly tied to an artists work is very charming to me though. I sure hope the final paint result is at least close to the prototypes. It seems this "new" paint technique is half the rage for these. Lots of subtle shading and highlighting going on. I am afraid the finished product won't look anywhere near as good.

Do you guys think sideshow or sideshow retailers will just keep opening up pre-orders for this? I notice online retailers seem to be very limited in their quantity with places like BBTS being 'pre sold-out'. Does this mean the ES will most likely be a small one or is sideshow known to keep filling orders therefore pushing edition size? I would definitely love to add MJ to my collection and am speculating whether to buy now or if I can catch up at a future date. I know this is hypothetical but what do you guys think am I safe to wait or will this become too popular/expensive like the AH MJ

It a depends on edition size on that, if you like it get it if your not sure then don't, do you hope to pay less at release? Hard to say as said before it depends on ES size.

Hey thanks for the quick reply, I know its a tough one. I don't hope to pay less on release but I would just kick myself if I had to substantially pay more. I'm fairly new to ordering Sideshow products which is why I'm not sure how they work

I remember when my Captain America PF went for 279.99. I got my Punisher PF (the best of the Punisher statues for 160 bucks!) and the original Adam Hughes girls were going for 129.99 a pop. Now we're getting smaller statues for twice the price. lol

Big difference from 2006 to 2007 from 2013. Damn six years of inflation does that?

No word on edition size yet. It may not be until a few weeks or months even, before it's revealed.

You'll have some times to think, but if a 'low quantity' alert pops up, I'd take the plunge if you're on the fence.
