I wanted to do the same thing, since I missed out on the original and can't afford them on Ebay now (if you can even find one for sale there).

All on ebay, I got one of the Subway heads for $26 shipped, so I tried building the rest using a TTL 1 body ($23 shipped), a set of generic jeans and belt and the only plaid shirt I could find with them (I found closer colored shirts, but every time I won an auction, the China seller wrote me back a week later saying they were "out of stock", grrr) and even though I told them to substitute a blue and white one, the one they sent was purple and white, but will have to do ($18 shipped). I also had to settle for brown leather combat boots with real laces ($8 shipped), rather than the yellow leather work boots.

I really wanted a corduroy jacket though, so I bought this tan Ken jacket ($9 shipped) and soaked it in some red food coloring solution until it got sort of red. Also found an axe the right size for $10, shipped.

Total: $94, or about what I could have paid for the actual Subway one in 2009 when it came out if I had been paying attention at the time.

Oh well, at least I finally have an approximation of it now!
