Jack's here! Impressions are very good. I don't even hate the hat that much in-person (though I'm still holding out hope for a custom run). I do wish the wheel attached to the base somehow instead of just sitting in grooves, but once it's set up, it's not like there's any risk of falling.

It looks like a real fun figure to own.

I can’t wait to receive mine from Sideshow!

Got the charging/shipping soon email from Sideshow as well for the Deluxe as well. Wish it was the Artisan, but after heavily debating ordering it from TBA last week, I decided to just stick with the Deluxe from Sideshow.

Think stick on felt pads used for furniture legs will be my friend. The base needs some pads anyway. I can line the groove in the base and hat too. Help stuff stay put.

Some great pics of this fig:clap

Got it yesterday. Artisan edition. It's nice. Not floored by it like I was with inart Henry Cavill Superman. This is the same headsulpts as the last DX but with better paint. Outfit feels and looks nicer. Glad I got the artisan version, the rooted hair is much better than the sculpted. Base is cool, but I have no room so it's going in the shed to freeze in the winter and melt in the summer.

Question, where is the tool that rolls the eyeballs? I didn't see it anywhere.

Then you just wasted $500+

Or worse: perhaps your figure was a return, someone swapped the new faces for old DX15 and returned it, then it got shipped to you.
Probably. They look the same to me, the new one has better paint and eyes, and seems to be a bit bigger. They both look like John depp so I'm happy with it either way. Unless someone with better eyes than me can tell me what makes this a new head besides the paint.

Oh come on, don't be stubborn to make a non-existing point. You can clearly see they are different...

furrowed brow is diff
lower eye lid is diff
eye shape is diff
eyebrows are diff
mouth is diff
moustache sculpt is diff
nose is diff
X-scar is more on cheekbone
smaller beard
more defined goatee

They are both Johnny Depp with the same expression, that's about it.

I am not stating one is better than the other, although I have a preference.

I’ve seen some posts here crapping on DX15’s smiling sculpt… it still looks pretty good to me.

Cannibal Jack looks decent as well. This sculpt can definitely benefit with Articulated eyes.

And man, I’m sorry, I just can’t see ANY Depp with this Artisan Jack. Like…at ALL. The new smiling sculpt does look really good and you can easily see Depp. But that neutral expression…

Still rocking the DX15 (with DX06 hat). Expression is way too serious/angry for the character, but I feel the likeness is better.

(FOLLOWING PICTURES ARE NOT MINE)

With the proper lighting and mood, the DX15 SINGS *chefs kiss*
