HT will always be better then Sideshow because Sideshow statues cant move or do anything what you buy is what you get... IMO... With HT you can change the poses of your figure anyway you feel fit... HT figures have far more options then any Sideshow statue ever has or ever will in my book... IMO...

Well, see, I prefer statues over figures and this is why..

HT figures are more fragile imo, certain extreme poses can not be reached with them, statues tend to be more..realistic, no joints, easier to dust, etc...

I would have liked to have seen a different version of Jake seeing as the HT version is also battle Jake. SS could have done the early movie Neytiri and Jake and HT could do the battle versions.

When do you think we can expect the beginning of the pre-order for this PF Jake ? Also, I don't know what to choose between this and the HT Jake. Do you think the PF will be as good as the HT for Jake likeness ?

We won't know until we see the finished statue but HT are really great at doing a likeness so they'll probably have the better sculpt. You have to ask yourself if you want to pose it and have all those joints on show or do you like the poses you saw in the sideshow pics?

I'm going to get the Statue to go with my Neytiri but i'm sure both will look just great!

I think it will be quite sometime before this PF Jake comes up for pre-order, so far all we have seen are these computer graphics, not an actual statue. Seeing as the Hot Toys Jake is due for release in December, you should get some good feedback on what the figure is like, then you'll be able to make up your mind on if you would like to own it.

I didn't buy the Neytiri statue because I was really after a Jake one first, so I'm buying the Hot Toys. However If I really love the look of the SS PF, I will probably buy that one as well.

I going to agree with my homie, Jay, on this. You have to ask yourself if you prefer posing your collectibles or static pose of a statue.

I getting the statue as a companion piece for my Neytiri.

Just a quick question guys, ppl are calling this a PF as well as the Neytiri piece. But SS says these are jus poly tone statues. So why are ppl calling these PFs when SS has Neytiri listed under Polystone Statue and not Premium format??

Agree I!!! I was under the impression that premium format is suppose to be mixed media which has a little of sculpted polystone and also a little of real clothing/fabric for which the neytiri statue doesn't have so technically this falls under the statue line and not the premium format line. The size may suggest that its a premium format tho since the navis are suppose to be big.

Well thanks to you all ! After your thoughts on this, I made up my mind and pre-ordered the Hot Toys Jake. But that doesn't mean I won't buy the SS Jake...

I think we all thought they were originally going to be Premium Format 1/4 scale statues, which would have made them about 30" in height. Instead they made the Neytiri smaller and called it a polystone statue instead. It looks like SS are doing quite a few of these Polystone statues now.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm surprised that y'all agree. When I popped in to the Neytiri thread mostly everyone seemed to be calling it a PF. I was like "there's no cloth"

Yep, but then they released another video a few months later stating that once they heard that Legacy was making 1/4 scale statues they decided they'd make smaller ones to give collectors two separate options. The crouching Neytiri statue was originally going to be a 1/4 scale PF. Which is too bad. SSC probably wouldn't have charged more than $800 for a Neytiri PF.
