Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yup all of Rocco's sculpts are getting squished. He needs to get to the bottom of thst and figure out what is happening

Yep, I'm regretting getting these in the first run. Some kinks need to be worked out.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I'll try to take some accurate (corrected and undistorted) photos of Craig and Connery over the weekend - I've been sick this week and haven't had the chance to pick them up from my brother yet.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Ah, didn't know this thread existed.

I just recently picked up the Wild Toys Brosnan figure and plan on kitbashing a Craig, Connery and Moore figure. Already got a Craig sculpt.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Got the Connery and Craig sculpts in hand right now and will try to make some time tomorrow for photos. Preliminary thoughts: the Craig cast definitely looks like it's pinched in the face compared to the 3D samples and photos of the master print.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

If anyone's looking for an unpainted BBKill Brosnan (pictured above), I have one for sale. PM's welcome.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Eager to see your pictures.

Also to be clear: The photos of the sculpt on eBay aren't representative of what the sculpt looks like, especially the frontal. Serious focal length and close-focusing issues are seriously distorting its appearance.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

That's a really nice Brosnan sculpt, gido!

Here are a few pictures of my Brosnan rendition of 007 from various angles.

This is the Craig sculpt (one of two, but the one I plan on using for the Bond figure) that I have.

I picked up a Connery sculpt today on eBay. Still have yet to find a really good Moore one.

Hopefully! I have Jon snow and gandolfini and lazenby ordered from him. I'm hoping to have them look like the renders. Tony especially would look bad if his head was squished

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

On second thought I think the problem lies in the print. All of the shots of his prints look squished too... Something that happens from the render to the physical print is what's messing things up I think.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I've shot the photos. They're as close to perfect as I'm going to get right now as I'm still sick - and better than anyone has shot any of these sculpts yet. There's no lens/focal length nor perspective distortion and the final images in addition to being corrected with Lightroom lens profiles have been compared to the sculpt(s) in hand to verify they appear exactly like they do in person.

Uploading them and will link shortly here.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

These images are not for posting anywhere else. Don't post them to another forum, don't post them to another thread here on this forum, don't quote them and do not under any circumstances post them to Facebook.

If I see them posted anywhere else and linked from the source, I'll replace the originals with **** and you'll get a rude awakening. :)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Craig's right side might look a little funky as opposed to the other side. Maybe I'm just trippin. Overall I think that's a fantastic sculpt. I'd love to paint one.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The "Tale of the Tape" is in the top-view and bottom-view images. You can see the shape of the skull becomes far too narrow toward the front - the whole face, including the area defined by the cheek bones and temples needs to be wider to match the rest of the head. The render and print images don't look like they have this issue, but it might be down to the focal length and perspective used in the specific images. The details are all there and it breaks my heart to have this shape issue. It still looks very good, but I can't un-see this and it looks so much better to me in the renders and master print photos.
