Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah, perhaps, but, it'll do me. I'm not aiming to spend that much more money on 1/6 at all now.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I can't believe there have been no Hot Toys Bond figures. With Kato doing some work for them now the tailoring on the suits could be insane! What a wasted opportunity. :gah:

Because Barbara Broccoli won't let them make them.

Because she is a controlling *****.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Anyone here have an Omega? I've been thinking of getting one like this:

They're certainly nice watches. My dad has one but only wears it on special occassions.

heres a quck snap of my 60's Omega Seamaster Deville I found at a shop in Vancouver a few months back! this is more of a Don Draper omega than a bond, but more my style, I can't pull off anything bigger..

I got one second hand for half price. Its the model with the blue wavy face that was used from Goldeneye to Casino Royal (changed in QoS).

The I wear it as my every day watch. Great thing about Omega watches is not only are they a precision piece of art, they are extremely durable and you don't have to worry about damaging it ....well I wouldn't wear it if you work manual labor on a building site, but other than that its fine :)

Definitely recommend it if you have the dough.

If it wasn't for Barbara Broccoli and her late father there would be no 50yrs of James Bond.

I'm guessing its more to do with wanting Bond to be higher end merchandise.

And if all she has seen of the 1/6 market was the Sideshow dolls then I can see why her answer would be no thanks. (not that they were horrible for their time period or price point)

Its a shame, because I"m sure if she saw things like the Hot Toys Jack Sparrow DX or the Enterbay T-800 then she would change her mind.

Hopefully Enterbay and Hot Toys are continually pushing and we won't have to wait 10+ years.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Does anyone own a Legacy Connery Bond here? I am thinking of buying one. Or would I be better buying the Dr. No version?

Decided to go with the Legacy Connery, even though they missed out the red carnation on his lapel - I can easily put one on.

I like this version. I like the use of the 007"' for the 7. I bought my girlfriend an omega a couple of years ago. At the time they were advertising the QoS version. I was tempted, but didn't get it. My old one, as seen in Goldeneye is around somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

I have an Omega Seamaster. Nice watch, I wear it for "everyday"use. It loses 2/3 seconds every 24 hours, which is better than my much vaunted weekend Rolex which gains 4/5 seconds every 24 hours!

I own a Seamaster 300M (the model worn by Craig in CR, all but identical to the model worn by Brosnan as well). It was a Valentine's Day present. Best wife ever :yess:

I've decided I must break my "Batman only" rule. I must own a Daniel Craig figure!
