Jango Bust

I got my new GG Jango Fett bust today! I have to say that it is the best bust in my collection right now. Both the helmet and the Jango head sculpts rule. I would take pics but no one can ever see them. You'll just have to trust me. It is the 19th bust in my GG Star Wars collection and easily the best. I think it is even better than Grievous!

I really wish they had done this bust with a more muted metal, the composition and sculpt of the piece are gread, but the super chrome finish just looks odd to me, it's not quite a Chrome Special Edition, and it's not quite a standard mini bust. Glad you like him though.

It's perhaps a tad too shiny but still a great piece which will be the next mini bust in my collection. The headsculpt is phenomenal,even better than the excellent Hasbro and Medicom sculpts which is no mean feat in itself and having already seen a Marmit Boba Fett custom with the GG head it's very tempting to buy a second bust so I can do likewise with the Medicom Boba Fett. GG's mini busts can be very hit & miss but this one is definitely a hit.

I also think they over did it with the shine, it's been about a year since I saw AOTC but I remember Jango's armour as a duller grey.

That said the likeness is incredible and the backpack and overall look of the bust is very nice, one of the best GG has made lately.

It seems most of GG's best work have been high edition size busts lately, Maul was also kick ass looking, if over produced.

Naturally, before I left town I got into a highly uncharacteristic fit of gardening and ripped out a few of the bushes that had been obscuring the front porch. There will be nothing to hide the packages from view.

Also, my hardcover copy of the "Making of Star Wars" book is now on teh porch as well, according to the tracking number. So that makes two packages--one with the book, one big one containing three different Gentle Giant busts. They had better be there when my wife gets home later this week!
