Just got this bad boy today (still shocked FedEx did a saturday delivery!)

....and I'm blown away! When Gentle Giant knocks on outta the park, they really knock it outta the park! This bust looks fantastic....

It's hard to get a good, representative picture of how impressive this bust is "in person" with the chrome. They added a smoky "glaze" over the chrome that tones down the brilliance enough that it really looks impressive.

The interchangable head works well, with a magnet to help hold it in place. The eyes on the "Unhelmeted" version look a little wonky, but they match the illustration on the box and...I don't recall, but maybe Morrison's eyes are a little wonky too...I'll have to throw on "AOTC" later and have a look.

The sculpt and paint/detailing is top-notch. If there are any Jango fans out there on the fence about this piece, well...climb down off of it and pick him up! He's a real stand-out on display....

I'll play some more with the camera and get some other shots up later....

Thanks to a new well-paying part-time (supplemental) job, I was able to grab one of these busts today. Absolutely stunning!!!! This will be an essential part of my imminent RAH Boba Fett display (and later RAH Jango will join them).

Hey, Collector Freak--early congratulations on your upcoming 1000th post!!!

As for the chrome, I don't mind it as much as the paint job on the face. It falls into the glossy/waxy/glazed/crayon/mannequin look that the Han Solo bust has, rather than having some variation and texture like Dooku and others.

But I'm glad to finally have Jango up there on my prequel villain shelf:

I am almost tempted to get this bust! For 40 bucks it's so beautiful! Almost seems like a steal. Especially when companies like Attakus charge you an arm and a leg and all you get is something that looks so dated.

If you're fortunate enough to have the original Jango bust, then you can go unhelmeted with this new one. That way, you get the best of both worlds!!

Eh, me neither. Only other Jango I had was that smoked chrome version. Now there's an example of overkill on a concept. Ended up selling it for cost ($50) and never looked back.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the "all" chromed busts. I have the MBNA C3PO and the only reason it looks good is cause he's metal.

I got my new GG Jango Fett bust today! I have to say that it is the best bust in my collection right now. Both the helmet and the Jango head sculpts rule.

I think I'll second the original post in this thread. I have most busts in this line, excepting a few early ones (mace, obi, anakin etc.) and the more expensive clone colored variants (I have 1 of each category at least).

And the Jango is possibly my most favored from a quality point of view. I was surprised to read that some disliked the chroming. Maybe it is a slight departure from the film, I guess. I hadn't even noticed - I just thought the smoky black airbrushing over the chrome plate looked fantastic. The likeness is also absolutely dead on, and the paint application is near flawless. Maybe they have "gotten the message" after Qui-Gon and Clone Obi. Some words to that effect, owning up to the trouble (not to mention making it right) would have been great, but I guess actions speak louder than words. And Jango is an absolute homerun in my book. I'd still like a 1/6 statue though. One would be face revealed, and the other helmeted. Since the headsculpt here is perfect, I guess I'd say a helmeted statue would be great.
