Man, I finaly broke down and pre-ordered this. My wife is so going to divorce me. She was just complaining the other day about paying bills off. UGH! Let's see ... this, tracker maquette, HT berserker, HT falconer, going to PO the part 3 PF, just got guardian and several other various 1/6 scale figs from evil bay and board members on here ... yep, here comes divorce for the second time in my life.

My wife snoops on the bank account and asks what certain purchases I make, and I tell her I do the bills so if she wants to know she can take over that duty. So when a new piece arrives she didn't know about she gets pissed and won't talk to me for the rest of the day.

Neeeever. Best things to "waste" my money on. I really want this guy but waiting for him to come in-stock so i can get a shipping quote as sending sideshow products to my country can be quite exspense

Same here man, my wife knows its my hobby and on top of that she knows Jason Voorhees is my hero and will just have to put up with me having various figures/statues of Jason around the house...as I sleep on the couch (worth it).

This looks like a great piece, but the ship date seems like bad timing with the PF announced. I bet this thing shoots up in popularity if the PF doesn't live up to expectations.

Eh maybe but no one knew about the new PF when this was announced and it wasn't popular then. I doubt it will be popular later, regardless of how the Part 3 PF turns out.
Regardless, heads will ____ing ROLL if the PF sucks.

yeah i agree, while im not a huge fan of the stylized jason ive seen worse incarnations of Jason. Now the PF...just looking at the mask and his hand holding the axe...that PF is going to amazing. I mean hell its Jason from Pt. 3 that alone is pure awesomness.

I'm trying really hard to resist replying to this with a simple
I don't dislike the Terror of Crystal Lake Polystone, it's an interesting interpretation of the character, it's just not what the vast majority of Jason fans have been asking for.
I don't know how long you've been at this hobby (I try not to judge by post count or joined dates), but us greybeards have been crying and whining for a pt 3 PF for a very long time now. We've gotten some great pieces during that time: The pt4 figure, the New Blood Scream Scene, and even the FvJ Scream Scene. But we've also gotten a ton (and I mean TON) of garbage from Mezco. It's gotten so bad that this:
became the norm. Then, one day, Sideshow promised a F13th tease. We've been down that road and disappointed before, but some tiny preview pictures revealed that Sideshow was making a new Jason statue of some sort. Sideshow was doing it! Sideshow was going to show the Mezcos and the haters how Jason is done. A couple guys here thought it could be the pt3 PF (or at least a diorama) we've been wanting for so long. The realists here were just expecting a return to form. At least some respect for the character.
What did we get? Terror of Crystal Lake Polystone. Another not-movie-accurate interpretation of the character. I, for one, gave up. I didn't expect Sideshow to ever return to the Jason we all know and love.
Then, on August 13th 2010, a day which will forever live in infamy: the bomb dropped. Not only was it a return to form for Sideshow and Jason, but it was the MUTHA EFFIN GRAIL OF GRAILS: pt3 PF!!!!!!! :bannana
So I really don't see how, even if the PF came out to be looking kinda mediocre, could ever be less coveted than this diorama.
I'm not advocating a mass cancelation of the Terror of Crystal Lake statue. I'm just trying to provide to some perspective to those of you who can't understand why there is so much bitterness surrounding this piece.
