I wanna say I remember him not accepting PayPal because of the long preorder period that would be out of the buyer protection time frame or whatever it is that PayPal offers.
They should had fixed that now for that reason, a lot of retailers back out from paypal because they didn't deliver the goods within a time period, but it has gotten better.

To be honest I love the regular catwoman, the battle damaged catwoman looks good and all but I'll be happy with the regular version!

I’m really struggling with this one 😫😫
I really want the figure, but the price point is keeping me from pulling the trigger just yet.

Hot Toys prices I could *just* about justify in terms of value for what you get. But I’m really struggling here.

If I were to get the Clean Deluxe Version, which is the one I would go for, it would cost $542 from Kit. I just don’t see the value there for that price, especially when compared to Hot Toys.

Then factor in that we have zero idea what the production headsculpts will look like once they have the rolling-eyes systems incorporated. That might downgrade the value even more depending on the outcome.

Just to clarify - it’s not the actual price that’s the problem for me, per-say. It’s the value for that price. I’m struggling to see it.

But I do really want to have this figure in 1/6 scale.

Gaaaahhhh!!!! 😫😫😫

I'm with you 100%
Im struggling with this one.
Its a figure I've wanted for years - but honestly the value for money is killing the excitement for me, I just dont see the value/cost ratio.
Money is always tight for me anyway, but as you say, even if I could comfortably afford it I'm not sure I would pay this price anyway.
I've never been so torn on a figure.
At no point have I felt any closer to making a decision.

Honestly - my gut tells me that if the price is galling me this much, maybe I best skip it.
But as soon as I think that it breaks my heart :ROFLMAO:
Its a sad truth of this hobby that, unless you are loaded or a major youtube reviewer, you can't get everything you want.
The question I suppose is, if like me your funds are limited, how much are you willing to sacrifice to get this.
And if you can afford it and feel torn on the value judgement, the question then is - will you be more annoyed about the price you paid when you look at this piece in your collection or would you be more upset by its absence - only you can know.
I've ordered things before that I spent way too much on and decided to sell onwards because that price is what I thought of when I looked at the piece, and I've paid aftermarket prices for figures I missed due to not originally wanting to pay their retail price only to change my mind.
It can go either way.

It's an easy one for me, there will never be a licensed version again, so you're going to pay 2x-3x more after you realized you messed up and should have gotten it at retail hahah.

This.

This figure is _so_ unique in _so_ many ways!

But the most unique thing about her is that she is the _first_ licensed figure of this much loved character and may well be the _only_ one we ever see. If she were easy to make others would have made her by now.

Do what I do. Keep a ranked wish list of announced upcoming preorders. Whenever you encounter a rare opportunity like Jazzinc’s Catwoman, just knock two or three of the other figures off the list.

I’d easily trade two or three other figures, _any_ other figures for a chance to nab that Cat!

Thanks for the advice, guys! That did actually help me a lot. 🙂

I definitely do need to factor in the rarity of an official 1/6 Returns Catwoman existing, and the potential aftermarket costs if I change my mind.
I'm going to take a couple of days to think on it still, just to be sure, but I'm leaning more towards going for it now.

Just FYI, if you’re planning to order from Kit, be aware that his preorder cutoff for the five variants of Catwoman is November 17.

Not a lot of time left.

I bought off Jazzinc directly for $490 but with estimated shipping $40 I’m going to pay around the same as you. In terms of value, I disagree and believe what you get is better value vs HT’s Artisans equivalent.

If we just compare standard version Catwoman to HT SS2 Harley Quinn. Jazzinc gives you more at a cheaper price.

If you then look at the Deluxe version Catwoman (clean or BD), it’s an extra $150 for 2 additional sculpts + minor few accessories - this extra cost is fair/worth it in my opinion.

If you just decide to go for standard, I think it’s already same or better value than HT artisans. Another example is HT Artisan Black Widow, I get HK pricing for 2.5k HKD (325 USD), Jazzinc’s Standard Clean Catwoman will be around $350 USD including shipping.

You say it’s a figure you’ve wanted for years but don’t see the value/cost lining up. What’s a comparable HT figure in your mind and ask yourself if this Catwoman gives you more or less for around the same price. Then account for how much you actually like the character to pay however much more for it.

There is nothing complicated about the hair here, so comparing it to an artisan HT which has full head of hair that needs to be styled with braids is ridiculous.

This is closer to a standard HT release. I mean look at HT Jack sparrow, the standard version is way cheaper and way more complicated figure and still has some wool hair. I mean c'mon it costs $379 for the standard Jazzinc figure with 1 sculpt and $405 for the BD.

Will be curious to see if the HT 92 rumors are true, highly doubt HT's prices will be as high.

There's a new rumor "leak" of HT catwoman and penguin, among other figs like 2.0 Dutch, Endo, Ripley, Alien Queen.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, I don't think we know rumor source yet.

OF COURSE there's rumors of a HT Catwoman after I literally JUST preordered the Jazzinc one with Kit an hour ago!! 😩😫 why isn't there a hair-pulling emoji when you need one?? 😂😂

The reason why I compare to HT artisan is because that’s how Joost markets this figure. I see where you’re coming from that it’s closer to a standard non artisan HT, but in some ways it’s not. The styling may not be as complicated but there’s still some styling involved to make it look good.

The Jack Sparrow is not a good example to use because that is very good value and not the norm for standard HT. If instead I compared with DP&W Wolverine Deluxe or Batman Returns Deluxe 2.0 - both ($275) that’d be more fair, +$100 for what HT normally charges for Artisan edition, and then you might justify an increased cost due to the complexity - custom body, wool hair, detailed suit, and you’ll arrive at a price they charged which might be fair-good value.

If someone says it’s overpriced then I’m not saying it might not be, just to me I see the value lining up with its price when comparing to HT.

The prices are out there, but I’m just curious how hot toys now feels like a value brand versus others like inart. The sad thing is that I know Hot toys won’t ever do a Batman Returns Catwoman so I’m stuck with this one. I wanted both versions but dude that price tag.

I’m sold if they would use a fantastic material for her leather costume because I’m tired of spending big bucks on fake materials that just disintegrate over time.
