I wished, but sadly, the rumour is that Mcfarlane can't have the rights for Nicholson,Pfeiffer and De Vito....
So no Batman 89/92 waves..
I think the best we can hope for is a Returns Batman,as the body already been done for the Fash figure, and maybe a Bane with a Poison Ivy reissue...

It's so frustrating, as you said , that there never was a complete Burton Line up figures in the same collection..

Is this a new rumour regarding the rights for 89/Returns? I've not heard that one before. Though I guess it could possibly tie in to why he released a new 89 Batman on his own.

It would be very disappointing if he couldn't make a Returns wave before the line ends.

I did hear multiple rumours sometime last year that McFarlane was supposed to be doing B&R Batman, Robin, Batgirl in ice suits, a new Ivy and Bane, plus Robin's Redbird. But there's been nothing since then sadly.

There is a you tube channel, that is almost 100% right regarding the Mcfarlane rumours...
And regarding the 89 wave there was this video:


For Jack Nicholson, i am not surprised that Mcfarlane, like almost everyone else, can't secure the rights...
So a 89 wave without the Joker doesn't make sense...and this is why it was cancelled...

I'am more surprised by the problems with Pfeiffer and De Vito ,as a lot of brands made those characters through the years (Neca, Mattel,Beast Kingdom...),
but he insist on the commentaries of the last videos that there won't be a 92 wave either..

I'am more confident for a new Poison Ivy and Bane, and the ice suits should be an easy release...

The one i really want, as no one ever make it on any scale, is the Forever Panther suit,which should be easy by reusing the Clooney suit...
Plus they just showed the Riddler final suit, that should come out for the spring, so the 95/97 waves are not over, and there is still hope, but for the 89/92 i don't this there is...

The answer is that Joost moves on from Batman. With his relationship with Warners maybe, possibly, there is a chance of Mad Max figures? Or Blade Runner? (Could you imagine a 1/6 spinner from Jazzinc!?!?!)

Some solid Blade Runner figures would be very intriguing. I'm not sure how deep I'd go at $300+ per figure. Deckard and finally a really great Roy would be awesome. I think I'd even want Pris... but beyond that probably nothing. That's the shelf for me: Deckard, Roy, Pris

I don't collect vehicles, but the Spinner would be a light-up marvel.

Mad Max is always welcome, but I have a pretty solid shelf of favs now -- all in need of futzing work, however. Again, I'd hate to think I'd toss my unfinished figures aside for new expensive ones. I've got Max, Wez, Humungus... and Immortan Joe and Furiosa. There's a Dementus coming soon. I think I'm set. I'd love a Master-Blaster, the last character I think I would add to my Max shelves. That all said, I would be very tempted to "upgrade" but probably only Max and Wez. For me, the others are background and don't need $300 upgrades. Not sure Joost would feel there's a large enough market for Wez.

Anyway, swinging this conversation back to Poison Ivy... I'm eager for the next update. I know JazzInc is busy with Catwoman and Penguin, but hoping there's some movement on Ivy now that Freeze is out of the way.

I have preordered CW deluxe, I will do the same for Penguin, but for Ivy I'm not sure, love the spring look, but like someone else said here, summer it' too riddler esque...

It depends on extras.

Joost clearly loves to do two looks, giving the option for a deluxe 2-pack with diorama element. So I’m willing to bet he will make both Spring and Summer looks for Ivy, with them both included in the deluxe 2-pack.

Yeah, you don't have to go two-pack if you don't like one of the looks. I'm sure Joost will do his best to tempt you to buy both though, that's the game.

For me, Ivy is definitely a character that I would prefer to have only one look on the shelf. The Spring outfit is definitely for me... whether I go all in again and get the two-pack (or both DX versions) with the Summer look will have a lot to do with the head sculpt expressions, just like it did with Catwoman (I got both DXs, but not the 2-pack)... and of course, the display base for the two-pack is important, too.

For instance, are you listening, Joost?... a two-pack only display of her flower lair with a poseable stemmed, man-eating plant that she can tickle under the chin would be a very tempting option...

For me, Ivy is a character I’d buy a 2-pack of regardless of the exclusive accessory. But I imagine other people might need more persuasion.
