that was my first one, photogenic but up close there are issues. Luckily I just got a response for another replacement, I get to destroy that one too....will be fun to play with another custom, I think I will do something really different for her, maybe make her into another character (like Jessica dressed up as another character)

My EX arrived earlier this week. I had a chance to unbox her tonight. I was so scared when I slid the styrafoam out of the box. I did not see a SSC QC tag on the tape. But I carefully unpacked her, all of her fingers and everything else looks good. I did not set her up as I am still unsure of where she is going to go.

received mine over the weekend. i got to choose between 4 pieces at the store, so managed to get a near-perfect one. very happy with mine! jessica looks fabulous, especially with the base lighting. and love the penguin too, he's a cute lil guy and really complements her. this is pretty much a home run by sideshow, on par with the quality of the darth talon pf.
the only thing that bugs me are the wrinkles in the dress. after 2 days they still haven't subsided. the material isn't the best they could've gone with. and i'm not too crazy with how easily the glitter falls off, leaving empty spots on the dress.
overall, i'm quite glad i got her.

is it that bad?! I thought it was just a case of excess glitter falling off, but not so much that bald areas are left

hairspray or starch, there is info on the www that says how to keep glitter in place on fabric

well, that depends on your level of obsessive-compulsiveness.
the bald spots are indeed noticeable, but only once you go in close. say, about 2 feet away. at a glance it's not very noticeable cos the rest of the glitter that remains catches the light quite well and will probably distract your eye from the missing spots.
i'll post pics this weekend once i have some free time...

well, maybe nearer than 2 feet. i've got pretty sharp eyesight.
but make no mistake, this is not a one-off problem. it looks like it will happen to pretty much every single dress, simply due to the nature of the material. just depends on the degree of the shedding...
