To be fair, Kravitz's portrayal wasn't even a fully realized Catwoman yet. To each their own, but as much as I like Anne Hathaway this role was was completely forgettable for me. I like Pfeiffer, but that is my own Keaton nostalgia showing and if I'm honest she isn't even really "Catwoman" as what I have known the character to be in comics.

I guess what I'm saying is that Catwoman is meh for me as a character in general lol. However, I'm curious to see how this likeness turns out compared to their 1/3 offering. The fully seamless look is cool. I'm sure this Kojun line will get me eventually, but for now I'm just interested to see how they deliver and the line progresses. JND's final product of Reeve Superman was great to my eye and if they could beat Inart to the punch for a 1/6 offering then...

I'd definitely say Zoe's version is the closest to the comics in terms of characterization. Put Zoe in an actual Catwoman suit and she'll be the undisputed champion.

I don't know if you liked Joker before TDK, but I would have liked to know what you held dear before Ledger changed everything that was "supposed to be" about the Joker.

I didn’t. That’s just it.

I’m not a fan of comics or the vast majority of comic book films. I believe there to be five worth watching and calling great films.

I saw TDK at 10 years old in theaters multiple times. Before that, I grew up on the original Michael Myers. Horror was what I was into as a kid, not comics.

Still, that doesn’t make Kravitz more than a pretty face. She proved nothing in The Batman, yet is being praised like she carried the film.

Hard to have expectations as a 10 year old kid.

No expectations walking into TDK,
yet still, I was blown away by the performance.
Never to be topped.


As I’ve matured,
I’ve grown to have proper expectations.
I don’t have to like the source material to know it. When Kravitz delivers a performance like Ledger did, then she can deviate from the character all she’d like.

Instead, in reality,
her cousin stole the show from both her and
The Batman… in a tv show.

She’s got great potential, but limited story to tell, where can the character go now? Her crime family is dead, she got what she wanted.

Teaming up with Kravitz doesn’t seem like something either character would do, family or not.
To me, it sounds like it will water her down.

I agree, I said the same thing to my wife. I think we've seen the best of Sofia. But one still hopes.

The good thing about Ledger, neither he nor they can water down his performance... ever.

I dont know if itll water her down per se. Just depends on how its done. Sofia Falcone is still a fairly new character in the Batman mythos overall so I think they have a lot of wiggle room in terms of story to tell. In the show every important man in her life betrayed her except her brother. Selina would be a sibling that hasnt burned her and doesn’t fit in with the prior issues in her life since she's a woman.

.That said, Inart will be fine for me. Not so in love to drop +$800 for Selina Kyle.

That’s what I’ll be doing too more than enough for me. I’d also hope INART makes Zoë Kravitz Selina as well one day. The only Catwomans I’d like to have in the collection.
